I got both multis, two doses of calcium citrate, magnesium oxide, vitamin D3 and zinc in so far.  I need one more dose of calcium and my iron and C, which I will get before bed.

How are you doing today?

I take both multis, d3, b12 (sub) all together first thing in the am then spread out my calciums, vit c, and iron through out the day. Is that ok to take all that together like I do?

Most people seem to think it's best to separate the two multis.  Taking D3 and B12 with a multi is just fine.

You know you need to take your iron at least two hours away from the calcium, right?

Can you keep some vites in your bookbag or something so if you forget to grab them in the morning, you still have some with you?

i usually don't forget them, just don't actually take them. today was sort of backwards lol. considering i'll be up til probably 2 or 3 anyway i'm sure i'll get them in, just not my morning heart pill and if i take my cymbalta at night it keeps me up even more and makes me feel like a zombie the next day so i'll skip that today.

Uhhh ok I may not be doing these vitamins correctly. I have not had my first labs yet, that will come in mid May when I hit 3 months. I see some of you posting about taking 2 multivitamins a day...I am only taking 1.  Do I need to add a second in the evening?  I also take 1000mg of Calcium each day and a sublingual B-12.  I was under the impression that the need for any other supplements would be dictated by lab results.

Thanks for any input!

Well, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery says we should all be taking two multivitamins and 1500-2000 mg calcium citrate to start with.  They also say menstruating women should take 54-63 mg iron and everyone else should take 36 mg iron (this includes the iron in your multi, if any).
