oh, yum, cappuccino protein shake!
I have not had a protein shake in about two weeks. While I was visiting my sister, I bought some soy milk but apparently I have become accustomed to raw milk now and my protein shakes taste MUCH better made with raw milk and though I used to like them just fine made with soy milk, I now think they are just plain yucky that way. So I had two shakes at my sister's and had to force them down, so I just gave up on them while I was there.
So today I finally went out to the farm to pick up some milk and now I am enjoying a very delicious protein shake. It's about time!
Tomorrow I am making yogurt, too.

Hee hee, I haven't always been this way and it still surprises me and makes me laugh. In fact, I used to insist that I would never make my own yogurt or make my own laundry detergent or things like that, it was too much trouble and why bother when you can just buy those things at any grocery store. But now I really like doing it. Plus it just seems cool to tell people I'm making yogurt today.

Souds delish!
I only drink nectar cappuccino flavored protein powder mixed with almond milk and water.
I was an avid coffee drinker pre-op so this curbs that craving .
Let us know how your yogurt turns out!!

I take it you've never gotten sick from raw milk. I used to drink it--long ago--but heard stories about people getting seriously ill from raw milk and raw cheese. I guess you have to know and trust the dairy.
Back in the USDA Abundant Foods program, before food stamps, when I was in need, I used the impossible-to-mix powdered milk to make yogurt. The top of the water heater (conveniently located in the kitchen) was the perfect culturing spot. I think water heaters are better insulated now, so they probably wouldn't work as yogurt-makers.
You inspire me to return to some of the homespun things I used to do, back before all the school and career junk got in the way.
