I know, just what you wanted to hear about, huh?

One of my cats likes to sleep in the dirty laundry.  She gets in the clothes basket and digs around and makes herself a nice little nest.  She's really cute in there.

This is also the cat that sometimes gorges herself on cat food, then promptly hacks it all back up.

So I started sorting my laundry this afternoon and discovered a big pile of cat puke in my partner's boxer shorts.

I just had to share.

Hey, at least she did it in the dirty laundry. Usually our cats aren't so considerate.... I almost have to praise them when they yack on the bamboo flooring instead of carpet!

I got a nice little laugh after reading this post and then read it to my husband! We too have a cat that gorges nd then pukes. We always tell her she must be feeling "phat" again and thats why she pukes.
Just glad I have never found it on the clothes.
Have a gret day and thanks for the laugh!

Unless they yack on the tile floor, I've given up on cleaning right away. I let it dry and then vac it up. This is like a daily event in my house.

I have a small dog that has started doing this since I went into the hospital last week. I got home and found out she yacked into my basket of dirty laundry. I guess she was taking her revenge out on me for leaving her here without me. She has become my shadow since I first got her. She even follows me into the bathroom. So when I left she was angry with the ambulance people as well as my two sons who were here...lol. As soon as I was gone she promptly went into my room and yacked into the laundry. Cause as soon as they found her in my room they removed her and shut the door. So it was fun just getting home from a week in the hospital and finding her little "gift"...lol. She's happy i'm home now tho and has been happy just following me around again...lol

I have two cats and my big grey one is the puker. I get so tired of it. He is a great big huge cat so I know he absorbs enough somehow. lol

I have 6 cats and 2 of them are pukers.  It's a beautiful day here so I thought I would wear my sandals...only to discover puke in it.  I rinsed it and threw it (the sandals, not the cat) in the laundry where it waits for the next load of rags to be washed.

there is also a dog...who never pukes but I thought he would love it when the cats do it as it is almost always undigested food.  He could not care less, unlike any other dog I've had, lol.   But one of the other cats, who used to be a feral,  is so funny (and gross, lol) as soon as he hears the pukers he comes charging through the house to do clean-up detail....TMI, isn't it.

My carpet is the same way, but it's because I have a pee-er.  Is that a word?  She will poop in the litter box but not pee in it.  We have tried EVERYTHING to correct that problem, and those that know me know when I say everything, i mean everything.  My carpet is completely ruined.  She is 12 years old and has had some health problems and I'm actually a little surprised she's made it this far.

By the way, I now have those doggy training pads spread over a good bit of my carpet, which makes cleaning up after her a lot easier, but it was already too late to save  my carpet when I thought of using those.

One of my cats taught himself to pee in the toilet. The other cats like to watch the flush. Right now his brother is very sick and probably not going to make it so he is going around crying like crazy. He is only 5 years old.

We used to have a cat who I nick-named the Vomit King. He loved to eat dry cat food real fast and you know what happened next. Another cat got sick once on the stereo. When I came back with paper towels it was already gone. Another cat kindly took care of it for me. It was her favorite flavor.

Another cat liked litter boxes only if they were factory fresh. She gladly used the puppy pads. The dying cat would then come along, smell it, and try to cover it up. But his paws never touched it. He looked like he was paddling a boat.

After that cat was gone I thought I was done with pads. But the other cats then decided to honor her memory by going to the old places she used to use. As long as that smell is there they will come back to it. Once it hits the carpet, it actually spreads outward as it goes downward. When it hits the floor or subfloor made of wood it can travel quite a distance down the cracks between the boards as well as soak into any raw wood. Landords have had to take out floors down to the joists because of this. Usually two or three feet of drywall going up the wall have to go, too.

Your only hope is to get rid of the carpet and pad, and paint the floor with oil-based Kilz. I suggest Allure instead of carpeting. Easy to install and the planks form a watertight seal when done.

Thanks for helping bring up the good memories of the dearly departed.
