I am glad it's Friday even though it's "cleanup day" at my office. Boo. I'd rather do what I do but I'm going to be a good little team player today.

Oh! Update on BDOBM. Went to see her in the hospital yesterday. She came through fine. Was in a good deal of pain and pressing that pain button many times (which made her fall asleep on me at the end of the visit) but that's understandable! Oh the memories...

Anyway...here are my eats today, as I know them:

1. 1 slice whole wheat toast with scrambled eggs, sausage patty and a slice of American cheese
2. UPDATE: Lunch was...wonderful! We had a cleanup day lunch and it was make your own chicken tacos but I made a taco salad instead. REAL chunks of chicken breast, black beans, pintos, mushrooms onions green peppers sour cream and pico de gallo. YUM!
3. Click (forgot my whey so it will not be a Click Frapp)
4. Cottage Cheese w/ strawberries and Fiber One
5. Not sure if I will want anything else but if so some scrambled eggs with cheese. I seem to be on an egg kick today.

It's an exciting day today.... the "golden bus" (minivan) is packed for road trip.  Visiting our favorite mouse for the week.  Last minute details taken care of -- I depart in an hour & a half.

Registered for the four mile run, so I'll take advantage of hotel gyms to get some training in during vacation.

I don't stay 100% on plan during vacation.  But, I do protein 1st & usually there isn't room for much else.  So, other than my morning power crunch bar, I haven't planned the rest of my food.

Have a great weekend & wonderful next week.....

Laura

I feel like an idiot. I sat here for a minute trying to figure out what word you meant for "mouse" cause that just didn't make any sense to me, lol! Duh!! Have a great time on your vacay!

I just got on solids a few days ago and am still trying to figure out how to make myself satisfying meals. Plus my pouch is still without feeling so I'm afraid of overdoing it! Anyway, here's my today:

Strawberry protein shake made with skim milk to start the day.
Veggie sausage patty for breakfast.
Lunch will be some deli sliced chicken and low fat provolone.
Dinner is going to be chicken tacos and rice for the family so I'll have some of the chicken with Greek yogurt, cheese, and salsa.
Probably a high protein snack or another shake if I need the protein.

Happy eating y'all!

So, so, so glad it's Friday. Been a long, long week, with much to do this weekend.
B: kashi go lean/turkey sausage
L: shepard's pie/fruit
S: quest protein bar
D: I'm actually going to make that gluten free pizza tonight, no if's and's or but's about it, and add a little spinach side salad
S: strawberry protein ice cream

It's a beautiful day here on the campus, I'm going for a run at lunch. Someone asked me the other day why I don't run in the city I live in. Well, it's just the University's campus is so runner friendly and I don't feel like I "stick out" when I'm outside running here. If I ran in the city where I live (which is an abysmally unhealthy town - no one walks or runs anywhere unless they are being chased by the police) "sticking-out" would be an understatement. So I run here in a peaceful little college town and feel part and parcel of the healthy college environment!

It's gray and cold and rainy today. I totally would have skipped my workout this morning, except I had to teach swim class at 10:15, and I figured since I'll be there anyway, might as well work out. SO I got there, got my run in, and clocked in. But then I realized that I misread the calendar and don't actually work today.

So hooray! Working at the Y is paying off! Yay forced compliance!

Anyway, I had a boiled egg before I left, and an Atkins granola bar after my workout.

Lunch will be lentil salad and some deli turkey.

Dinner will be a spicy salmon avocado roll. So excited! Been craving it forever (like, BAD craving) so I stopped and had the sushi counter make it for me special this morning. Yay! I'm going out with the girls tonight to play Bingo, so I'm gonna take it with me and enjoy. Sushi and Bingo--it's a good combination.

 Mmm, I lied.

Lunch turned out to be a slice of toasted sprouted Ezekiel, topped with spicy pinto bean spread, deli turkey, red onion, and avocado.   Omg, delish.   I'm loving food today.
