What's for dinner - Wednesday

Have you ever been depressed but very SICK of being depressed but still depressed?

That's me today. Lethargy is highly annoying to me and yet I want nothing more than to go home, get into a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and go to bed. Oy.

But I am going to go to church. I need the fellowship. Plus I don't want to get in the habit of shying away from my support systems. Urgh. Mental awareness, right at this moment, is equally annoying.

Not sure what's for dinner. Unfortunately an unwise lunch and then snack choice makes it pretty immaterial. I had sushi with a friend (yes real sushi) then at a staff meeting they had fruit and donuts. I took a bite of a donut and a bit of fruit. That, coupled with the sushi led to a nice blood sugar crash which forced me to eat again before I was ready so now my tummy hurts. This does NOT improve my mood.

Eats for today were:

1. Cottage cheese/strawberries/Fiber One
2. Miso soup, some edamame, sushi
3. Small piece of a coconut donut, some fruit salad
4. Quest bar (eaten on auto-pilot. Had I thought about it a minute I would have realized a) Quest bars only have 5 digestible carbs so maybe not the best offset to a blood sugar crash and b) eating a whole one was sure to make my stomach unhappy)

That was about 45 minutes ago so now I am going to get myself a nice, hot organic Chai tea (no cream).

What's on your plate today?

I took something as simple as a chicken breast(which I seem to eat alot of lately) and mixed it with a can of Cream of Broccoli soup. and Microwaved it. I really really liked it. The husband and daughter had baked chicken with broccoli & cheddar rice. So it was almost like eating what they had. Oh I also had a few green beans.

I'm going to church tonight, too!  Very important to keep those support systems healthy.  I hear you on that.

B: turkey sausage
S: Nectar Chocolate protein with So Delicious coconut milk (fewer calories than skim milk!), and a few slices of frozen banana
L: Spaghetti sauce I made at home
S: Another protein shake (I always make a double and drink half in the morning and half in the afternoon).
D: Chipotle chicken soup (chicken, chipotle peppers, black beans, pinto beans, tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, Greek yogurt, low-fat Mexican cheese blend, chopped cilantro).
E: BOSU class at the gym - working my core!

We are having a goody day here at work for someone's birthday, but I am only 3 months out, so not even tempted to try any of that stuff.  I am pretty sure even a small amount would make me hurl.  At least, that's what I tell myself.

Welp.... I've had one of those sucky eating days that just happen sometimes. I always have good intentions but.....

I didn't eat anything (zero, zilch, zippo, nada****il 11:30 when I was at school with my kiddo, sitting with him while he ate lunch. He didn't finish his sandwich from subway so I had the insides of maybe a third of a ham sub.

I've since had some greek yogurt and a string cheese.

I HAVE had lots of water and am on schedule to get all of my medicines, vitamins and calcium in, yay me!

For dinner, I have crockpot chicken chili going right now. It smells sooo good and it's cold and rainy here, perfect weather for that kind of food and an added plus, there will be TONS of leftovers for me to eat for the next several days!

So far it's chili! Love me some chili! I had some for breakfast, I'll have some for lunch and for dinner I was thinking of making the cauliflower pizza. I went out last night and bought everything I needed for it. I'm gonna try to feed it to my hubby. See if he likes it!

I managed to accomplish absolutely nothing at home today. Did feed the chickens and rabbits, which they appreciated, I'm sure. Today is a rest day exercise wise... tomorrow is spin class and I need non-noodle legs to survive it.

B - mint cookie protein shake / skim milk
L - about 1/2 cup shrimp creole - no rice, minimal sauce
2 sweet peppers with low fat cream cheese
S - Quest
D - tilapia, onion, cheese, grape tomatoes
S - laughing cow cheese (2)

Can I come live with you??? A good month of chicken feeding, working in gardens and fresh air should turn me right on around.

I'll help pay your gas money to get here! I also have 3 horses. My "zen" is sitting outside watching chickens in the yard and the horses swarming around me thinking I MIGHT have a treat.

oh! And don't forget there is NOTHING like fresh eggs!

Making  a homemade chicken noodle soup tonight, will make the noodles put them in the bowls and top with the soup, for the kids. Colleen and I will have just the soup. Smells good in my kitchen about now.
