Not sure what you mean.   Do you mean developed anorexia or bulimia?  I haven't - I figure I had an eating disorder before the surgery.

As a mental health counselor, I can tell you that it is somewhat common for people to become anorexic after WLS. More common than that, however, is the "chewing and spitting" behavior, which -- even though it is not a specific DSM-IV eating disorder -- is "disordered eating" nevertheless and should be addressed.  Purging is much less common because of the physical difficulty of forcing yourself to vomit after RNY, but it is not unheard of.

Feel free to contact me via PM if you want more info.

Well,  most of us had some type of eating disorder to get us to the point of needing surgery.  Having surgery alone does not make that magically disappear.  Hopefully the psychologist, support meetings, etc. help us to work on that.

I did.  I got to 102.  I had to stop coming on the site because it way too triggering.  I now weigh more after going for intensive treatment.  I can't lie, I dont feel comfortable at this size...and I want to lose more.

There was another girl on here back in 2010 who also developed an ED.
