I appreciate all the condolences but...

The "condolence food" has got to go.

Today I resume Bariatric Foodie with much appreciation to folks for being patient while I adjusted to my mother's passing. And today I share the recipe I recently used to recover from the condolence food.

Cuz "Operation Last 20 Pounds" is still in full effect.

Check out the recipe today on Bariatric Foodie!

And I know I sound like a broken record but THANK YOU all for your support, prayers and encouragement. It has truly helped me.

Welcome back...you made me smile with the "condolence food" . We watched "we bought a zoo" with the kids the other night and (single widowed father) keeps getting casorole dishes open fridge and it's stacked top to bottom.

It was crazy. We got a HUGE vat of spaghetti and meat sauce (which sadly went to waste. The girls aren't the biggest pasta fans). A 100 piece box of Wal-Mart fried chicken (I gave about 75 of those pieces away...much to my oldest daughters chagrin). We got cakes. We got cookies. We got pie. We got casseroles. Mac 'n cheese. Just...everything.

Folks are so considerate and I did truly appreciate it because that meant I did not have to cook. BUT...yeah... even the kids were feeling like they needed a veggie that wasn't steeped in sodium.
