I am late, late and more late, but oh well.

I had a very nice evening. I went and treated myself to a spa pedicure. Sigh...it is worth every penny. And my toes needed an intervention.

Just did dinner which was a McDonald's Southwest Chicken Salad (grilled, no tortilla strips). I had 1/2 c. Edy's triple chocolate ice cream for dessert. That caps off a downright model long-term post op eating day. Here's what else I had:

1. Chocolate protein shake
2. Beach Club Unwich from Jimmy John's
3. Brownie Quest Bar

All that came out to 1,253 calories, 50g fat. 111g carbs (so 79g net carbs), 32g fiber, 111g protein.

So for newbies wondering if your eating life will ever include treats, not feel like a diet, etc. I lift up today as an example. Granted I have two protein supplements but my protein shakes don't taste like protein shakes and Quest Bars? Well I almost feel like I am cheating when I eat those. So there can be balance!

And now I am relaxing in bed with my laptop. I needed this.

What's on YOUR plate today?

oh I had a big big big pouch day today. Wow. Tomorrow will be lots of jogging swimming and walking!

B - mint cookie protein w/ skim milk
L - meatloaf, peppers/asparagus, fresh english peas
S - meatloaf, Sf Ice cream
D
I have to take a breath to type all of this out for Dinner
- 2oz sirloin, 1 sweet potato (no skin), Tbs or so of green beans, 5 shrimp, Tbs of sherbet

Wow. Something over 500 calories for dinner, taking me to around 1500 for the day. It was my nephew's birthday dinner, so I manage to avoid beating myself up by saying I never eat out and this won't happen again.

I hate having a pouch the size of a soccer ball.

I went out with my husband had a grilled chicken breast, side salad and champs - Irish smashed potatoes with onion in it, I only ate a very small amount of those! My husband ate the rest! They were good though!

B - your chocolate, Click and PB2 shake
S - Greek yogurt
L - a couple slices of leftover Easter ham and a slice of Colby Jack cheese
S - small turkey smokie and w.w. cheese stik

Enjoy your evening Nik! I 'm heading for a nice soaking the bathtub!

I heart pedicures! When I'm sitting in the chair and have the massager going, I call it peditation. Ommmmm

I had what was planned for breakfast, lunch and snacks, but I too got home late and decided I didn't want that dang salsa chicken, so I made cheese toast with a bit of avocado, air popped popcorn with a drizzle of canola oil and garlic salt, grape tomatoes, and a yasso fro-Greek-yo bar. But the damn Popsicle stick in the bar was broken (weird huh) and I ended up using a shish kabob skewer to eat my fro-yo...it still tasted good but was more than slighyt messy.

So ends my adventures in eating, now must go get some hydration in and off to bed. Sleep well.

OOOOOOmmmmmmmmmmmm.  I am stealing the word peditation.

I am on a pedicure hiatus. They said I can start having them again 6 months after the transplant. I love love love a pedicure. My toes are so scary right now.

It seems like I eat the same thing every day but it takes the guessing out for me...

B- pan fried egg and a turkey sausage
L- homemade crab salad with 5 crackers
S- 4 fresh strawberries w/ a splenda pack sprinkled on top
D- 4 oz of pork stew meat, Tbs broccoli

still working on my water but I am determined to get in and as I'm typing this I realize I have only had 1 dose of calcium so I must get on that too...sheesh

I had crackers and blueberry-coated goat cheese and a handful of amazing strawberries at Oneg after services tonight.

Dinner is poached salmon rolls with brown rice and teriyaki sauce...and a lot of wasabi. :D So, so....SO good.

I had chili that I had simmered in the crock pot for like 24 hours.  I never make it the same... this time I had black beans, garbanzos, kidney beans, ground beef and stew beef chunks in it.  Had to punch up the protein... man, was that meat delicious and tender after that long, slow simmer!

Anyway, that was dinner.
