I am really sorry to hear this.  My profession is as an addiction counselor.  I can understand a little bit of what you're going through...this is never easy...especially when it's your mom.  ::hugs::

A different kind of relapse but thanks for the support!

Tonight it's a slice of pizza

Then later tonight for my "pillow snack" I'll have some olives, cheese chunks, a couple of baby corns, and some marinated artichoke hearts. (about 170 calories, most of them are the cheese)
Since I decided that half my problem isn't so mu*****reased eating as decreased movement of the body... I've been trying to move more. Might not make that big of a difference, but hey, it's worth a try.

:shame: I had pizza for dinner.
Had one of those days where I dragged ass all. day. long.

Had to run errands, the littlest monster screamed the whole time and threw her goldfish on the floor, so I have to crawl around in the aisle scooping them up like a moron. My first child would NEVER behave this way. What the hell did I do wrong with this one?

The kitchen's a mess, don't wanna clean it. There are groceries in the fridge, don't want to cook. Truth be told, I kinda just want to go back to the gym and work out some more. It's becoming my "safe spot", my stress-free zone, and that worries me. It's good to be motivated. It's bad to use it to avoid obligations.

So I ordered pizza for dinner tonight. I need more protein than I've eaten today, so I ordered a thin crust pizza with beef, black olives, pepperoni (pork!! omg), and light cheese. They slice it into squares when it's thin crust, so I ate maybe 3 or 4 squares. And immediately felt the need to go lie down. Bleh. It wasn't dumping, just general not-goodness.

I'm just tired and cranky tonight. I'm PMSing way early and have terrible cramps and am just sort of angry at everything.

Are you all much further along in your recovery/post-op?

A Fun-Size Snickers bar? (The description, 'Fun-Size' is highly questionable and debatable, but another time)...no dumping?

An Egg McMuffin?

2 eggs?

What the hell?

My God!! I can barely put away half a container of egg beaters with some pureed prunes (surprisingly tasty, quickly becoming my favourite)...on one hand, looking forward to the day I can eat those kinds of things, but on the other...eating like that helped put me in a state where WLS became necessary....for now I've more or less accepted that the days of eating those things are gone and I'm resolved to let them be memories...

If you look under our profile pictures, most of us have our surgery dates listed.

I'm 2 months out, and have never had any eating issues. I've been able to eat plenty, rather quickly, with no side effects. But my pouch is sure to let me know when I'm about to overdo it, or eat too much of something I shouldn't.

I can eat two scrambled eggs if I was feeling extra hungry.  A fun sized Snickers wouldn't make me dump, either.

But everyone's different, and everyone's recovery rates and eating abilities are different. Do what works for you. :)

 This.

Things at one week out for me were way different than they are at 14 weeks.  First and foremost your new pouch is swollen and you're just getting used to what your new life is like.  Life on the other side isn't about a diet but about using our tool to make better decisions and ultimately eat less than we did prior to surgery.  I know for me if I were pre op 2 eggs, or an egg mcmuffin would just be the beginning of what I was eating at one sitting.  :) Good luck on your journey...every ones is different!  :)
