I love your rewards. I also thought about a DVF wrap dress. It is so classic. I agree about the coats. I hate my huge shapeless coat. Fortunately here in Florida I don't have to wear it very often.

To look like Faye is an admirable goal.

For me, running in the Warrior Dash is a reward, not a goal. Quite a few friends of mine have done it and it looks like a lot of fun.  I've been doing the Couch to 5K program and am looking forward to the day I can run for half an hour. Right now I can only do a couple minutes. I was up to 8 minutes before surgery and I hope my stamina returns quickly.

There are lots of things that I wanted to do once I lost the weight (wearing high heels, riding rollercoasters, whitewater rafting, etc.).  The only things that I really wanted to do that I have not yet done are parasailing and having a boyfriend/SO be able to pick me up.  Unfortunately, I kicked the guy I was involved with when I had surgery to the curb before I lost enough weight for him to lift me.  At least I know that, at 6'2" and about 240, he WOULD be able to pick up my 150 pounds if he was still in the picture.

My husband who weighs 150 pounds can pick me up now!  I love rollercoasters, but I rode roller coasters at 262.  I've been talking to my husband about whitewater rafting, but I'm sure I could handle it now, so who knows?

I wore high heels all day last week for the first time in 2 or 3 years, and I was so proud of myself!  I even went shopping after work!

I do hope you find someone special soon.  You put such great karma out that it should be a magnet, but given your past experience, I'm sure that you weed out all the idiots!

In the meantime, I think you have a great attitude!  You aren't waiting until you get him to do all the things you've already wanted to do.  Sometimes, I think that relationships can actually hold you back from doing things you want to do, because you have to compromise your priorities in order to serve your partner's priorities.

I guess I have always been one of those big girls that were in denial. Or maybe because I have been overweight my whole life ... I try to never let my weight keep me from something big that I wanted to do; like vacations, roller coasters & horseback riding (I kinda feel bad for the horse now ... poor horse ;)

Anywho ... I arbitrarily set 150 as my goal weight but really once I get to a size that I am comfortable at - I look forward to just being confident enough to enjoy the beach & daily Florida living without sweating to death because I have to keep everything covered.

Come to think of it ... I haven't worn a traditional bathing suit in quite a while. I always get the tankini top & wear regular shorts & sometimes even a shirt (Just within the last yr I have dropped the shirt) ...

THAT'S my goal! To buy a rockin bathing suit & hit Daytona ... During Spring Break & actually enjoy myself instead of trying to keep everything covered.

Thanks Nik, I have a goal now!
