Appointments set

I have all of my pre-op appointments set except for the final appointment with the surgeon. I am hoping to have surgery the middle of July. I was told today that since I am able to get in all of my appointments so quickly that it may be even earlier than that. Excited and nervous all at the same time.  

Congrats! I met my surgeon today for the first time,hoping to have surgery within the next month or so! Yeah us!!!

Same here and they will all be done by the 18th of the month. Then I have to have my second appt with my surgeon and then they will set a date. I was told it would be 4 weeks after my last appt. I'm I crazy for wanting to "get on with it?". I guess I just get frustrated with waiting on Insurance. My friends had to remind me to eat today because I was so worried about when I would have this done. Thank goodness for good friends.

I will be done by the 18th too when I see the dietician. I've had all my preop stuff done that I know about. Cardiologist pulmonologist psych all have okayed me so just this one last step. The doctor told us "by summer".

What I'm totally freaked out about is my work schedule as I'm a wedding photographer and it's about to ramp up into wedding season if it doesn't happen the first week or two of may I won't be able to get it done for quite some time :(

 I understand the work issue. I have a window in June and one between the middle of July and the second week of August. This is going to be cutting it close. 

You arent the only one who wants it to "hurry up". I have been working on this since December 2011. It doesnt actually seem that long. Luckily I had a doctors office that went ahead and got my approval for surgery even before all my diagnostics were done. I have my upper GI next week and to sign my approval. HOPEFULLY less then 3wks ill be on my journey.

OP- Make sure to ask the places you have appts with if they would call you if someone cancels so that you can get your appts even sooner.. I did this and it saved me 3 weeks :) Good luc****pp us updated!

 Thank you for the idea about cancelled appointments. I live 2 hours away from where I will be having surgery so unless all of the places had cancellations the same day it wouldn't work for me. Even though July seems like a long way off, it isn't. I am very excited and I know that the time will go by quickly. I set the appointment for the informational session back in December. I can't believe that the time has already come and gone for that. Good luck.
