Plastics Consultation

I wasn't going to do plastic surgery. That was until I got fitted for a bra over this past weekend and saw all this skin roll over the top and bottom of the bra strap. I tried stuffing it into the cup, which of course didn't work. I talked to my therapist about it last night.

I found a plastic surgeon who used to do RNY surgeries before he moved into plastics. A lot of his gastric bypass patients still follow him to have work done post RNY. So I scheduled a consultation for the 7th of next month. We're going to discuss floppy arms, breast augmentation (I may need an implant on one side), skin removal, and a tummy tuck. I'm certainly not getting these all done at once. Finances and downtime will determine what comes first. However, I'm leaning towards the girls, TT and floppy arms (in that order). I'll know more after the consultation.

Good for you! I, too, never thought it would be something I'd even be interested in, esp the girls, but I did them first! : )

I have always wanted to get the girls done, but I thought i would have to be at goal weight. Anybody have recommendations as to when to do the surgery?

A good ps will tell u if it's too soon. I was at goal.

Personally I wouldn't do it until I was with 15 lbs of goal.. That's jut me though

 Good for you!  I have always wanted to have the girls done, even in my skinny days.  So nice that you have a doc that understands your new body, as well!  What a good experience.  

I would love to know what you come out of the consultation with!  I'm afraid I'm not aware of costs or how they handle those, either, but I hope you get what you need!

I'll post about my consultation. My understanding is some of it isn't as expensive as I thought. But I"ll find out more when he and I meet on the 7th. I haven't hit my goal yet, but I want to plan for the next phase. Which requires planning for time off work, finances, blah blah blah.

 my boobs do that too. the girl at vs tried telling me that it meant the cup was too small, i didn't feel like trying to explain the situation to her so just bought the size i always do that fits me better than going up does (considering there is already extra room in the bra). 

i'm trying to hold out on plastics another few years. my next door neighbor that i grew up with is on her way to becoming a plastics PA, so i'm hoping for that friends discount lol

I went for a consultation on plastics this past Monday. I was quoted $6000 for arms and $11,500 for the girls (lift and gel implants). I am more interested in arms right now.

My question is, is this a realistic fee? I would be interested to know what others have paid or have been quoted. By the way, arms would be local sedation, in his surgical center and the girls would be in hospital. If I do them all together, it would be done in the hospital.

Any feedback is appreciated. To be honest, when they said $6000 for arms, I almost fell out of the chair!
