NSV - they don't happen often at 3.5 years out
Yesterday I met a friend from online for lunch. She had RNY about seven months ago. We had a great lunch and talked for a long time, until I had to run off because I had to be somewhere else (I would have liked to have stayed and talked longer). Of course we talked a lot about RNY but we talked about other stuff too. She told me she knows a couple people (in "real life") that have regained after surgery so she was glad to see a "functional post op" eat lunch like a "normal person." Which totally cracked me up. Me, functional? A normal person?
But I'm calling it a NSV, and those don't happen that often at 3.5 years out. It was fun.
Then I had dinner with my mother and sister, who told me I am "stick skinny." I am not. They also congratulated me for not having a lot of excess skin following my weight loss and then discussed the benefits of tummy tucks. Um, why would I want a tummy tuck if I don't have much excess skin? Sigh.
