I'd check with your surgeon to be sure, but it sounds like you can cut back on the D3. Woo hoo!

Each one of us if different. How long have you been taking that dose and when will they check your level again? What did your surgeon recommend? I had taken dry D3 50,000 daily (because of recommendations from some vets here, not my NP) for 6 weeks and my level was over 200. My NP told me to stop taking any D3, except what was in my multivit. It took about 2 months to get the level down in normal range (80-100). Now, I just take it with my calcium only and will follow up again in 3 weeks. I also don't take any B12 except what's in my multivitamin and my levels have been 980-1050.
You need to look at your trend ...
What was your level last time and how long have you been taking it daily? No vitamin or mineral levels should be looked at in isolation.
For example, if one x 50k per day put you from 30 to 116 in 3 months, then taking one per day now will likely make you to continue trending up to a toxic level ... It would therefore be more prudent to take 2-3 per week and see what your trend is at your next blood check.
This principle should apply to all supplements, which is why we shouldn't rely on isolated advice from people who don't know our full medical histories!!!!

Just came back from my 1 year appointment and my D is down to 24! You wanna trade levels??? jk. Yeah, I'd drop it down, or maybe split the pills. I'm having to take around 10,000IU daily now to get mine back up.... ugh!

at 6-9 months mine was in the 20's so that is why I started taking vitaladies 50k daily. So I am gonna drop it to twice a week and see how that goes. I get my labs again in 6 months.
hope yours goes up quickly for you Nicole.

116 is excellent and yeah, you can cut back to two or three times a week. You're doing great.
