Yeah I recently received my EOB and my Labs were around $1500. I have a $250 outpatient deductible, so I will be sending $20 a month for a long time!

outpatient deductible is for hospital expenses - cant you get your labs done at the doctors office or at a lab?  why pay for hospital deductable?  that is crazy.

If her insurance is like mine, it is a deductible that covers everything... Whether that be hospitalization or just office visits and labs.  Mine is $300 per year, so the first $300 worth of claims the insurance doesn't pay at all.

Yea, my insurance doesn't pay for my labs and my bill was just over $1500 last time so that must be a good average if they do a pretty full rundown of tests.  They take 17 vials from me so he orders quite a few it seems.
