Questions to ask at informational session
I am going to my informational session tomorrow. I was told to bring a list of questions, but as always, when I asked if I have any questions, I can't think of any questions to ask. I need some suggestions. What are questions you may have had or one that you wish you had asked but didn't? Thank you for all of your help.

I didn't have any to ask. My surgeon was VERY thorough in his presentation, and when I met with him for the first time, I felt very comfortable.
my informational seminar was almost 3 hours so i didn't have any at that time. i did have some additional ones when i went for my consult at the end of the process. There were also like 50 people there so i wasn't able to ask a lot.
good luck at the session!

My surgeon was also very thorough but at the end he had 3 people tell their weight loss journeys. One had RNY, one the band and I think the third was the sleeve. I asked each of them what was the best surprise and what was the worst. Their answers were interesting. The one I remember most was the woman with the band said that she was unpleasantly surprised by the way people treated her once she lost the weight. Co-workers that had nothing to do with her when she was overweight were suddenly very chummy once she lost it.
One question I would often ask my surgeon when presented with a choice (like which surgery to have or should I do the fobi pouch or not) was - if I were your wife, which would you recommend?

my doctor answered all my questions during the info but the questions I had were.. how many have you done? how long have you been doing this? What happens if you are sick or on vacation when I need help? What are the pros and cons to the 2 I'm considering? At 5 yrs out what is the success rate for your patients? is there any additional charges not typically covered by my insurance?
Good Luck!
