Well, friends, the countdown has begun. The house sale was approved by my mortgage lender. Two thoughts are now in my mind:

1. Yay! I just got $100k of mortgage forgiven! I izz FREE!!!!
2. Holy shizzballs, I actually have to move now, don't I???

Sigh. It's all just a bit overwhelming, especially right now. And the fact that I ended up paying for the entire funeral and burial so now have little to NO savings is not helping (btw: forgive me for pandering, but if you order Quest bars and do so through the ad on Bariatric Foodie, that would help a lot. Thanx.)

All this AND anyone who has been on this board for a while knows I do not do well with change. Especially not sudden change. And that seems to be the theme of this season in my life.

So what does this all mean? It means today I need some damn gym therapy!!! Zar has art class so I'm going to get on that treadmill and run like Forrest Gump. Maybe some of my anxiety will work itself out there. Maybe not. But at least I will have worked off the gamillion carbs folks keep plying me with in the name of grief (for what it's worth, I have been mostly taking the food and quietly giving it to other people).

Eats today:

1. I just had a decaf cappucino with hazelnut creamer
2. Not sure what I want for breakfast. I'm honestly not that hungry. Probably scrambled eggs. UPDATE: Took a looooong walk (3 miles maybe?) and came back kinda hungry. Made a sausage/cheese eggchilada with Greek yogurt and salsa on top.)
3. A banana closer to gym time
4. Lunch - ???
5. Snack - ???
6. Dinner - ???

Yeah, that's basically where my head is right now.

Inspire me folks.

Hi love your new avi. While its a rough time right now it sounds like other areas are on the upswing.

I'm at the gym on the recumbent right now just doing it lightly to stretch my legs as today was my first time to the gym since the marathon last week. Did Body Pump earlier.

Operation 10 lbs in underway as of today--

- click and skim
- Greek yogurt and fresh strawberries
- chicken breast and veggies
- tons of fluids

Meow

Be happy.

AWESOME NEWS... I know it's daunting to realize that now you actually have to move, but the fact that the mortgage got approved in a HUGE EVENT in your life!  You really are free... so exciting...

Well, get on that treadmilll and make the best of the nervous energy... might as well have into translate into something positive instead of stress.

For me, got up with the chickens (SO unlike me on a weekend) and got 4 miles in by 8am, only intervals though as solid running kills my left knee.  Regardless, it was a great workout and I feel energized for the day.

That being said, I've just had 16 oz. of water and a latte so far this morning... really need to get a solid breakfast in, so I think I'm going to scam your idea and have some scrambled eggs.

I'm making a turkey breast for dinner with some sweet potatoes and asparagus on the side, and lunch will probably be some combination of protein shake and cheese or something.  It's definitely time to get to the grocery store!

Anyway, that's it for me... have a good workout, Nik!

How exciting about the house sale.  I am glad things are working out for you.

Eats today:

B-scrambled egg
S-yogurt
L-left over chicken from Red Robin last night
S-deviled egss
D-?

We are coloring Easter eggs today.  I have 3 dozen.  I am sure I will end up eating 2 of those dozen.  The kids like to color them, but only 1 of the 4 will eat them.  And we are going to bake and decorate Easter cookies.

Already hit the grocery store egg hunt this morning.  Talk about crazy town.

I will be working in my garden today. Tilling and planting. Might get inspired and pull weeds, but I'm not actually putting that on the agenda lol.
Right now I have a bargain turkey in the oven (one of those you get for like 49 cent lb before Thanksgiving), my mom is shelling English peas from my garden. Think there will be yellow squash and dressing (no dressing for me).

B - Quest bar
L - turkey and fixings
D - probably turkey and fixings
S - if I have one - cottage cheese and jello

I never knew what a blessing it would be to move after major grief/death. It was like a restart. It was hard to do but felt so good on the other side.
I'm on a slow cooker bent. The cauliflower cheese soup was good yesterday.
Overnight I've been cooking chicken with vegetables and a few noodles so the boy will eat it. I woke up to some good smells. I'll eat on that all day.
It's sunny and glorious in Seattle. I'm out to see the world or at least the dog park.
