Guzzling drinks...

I'm 3.5 weeks out. And that for me was and still is the hardest part as well. I do sip during the day. Even if I go to the store, I take my ice cold water with me. But I was just a guzzler pre op. I ALWAYS wake up thirsty. That's why I always have a bottle of water right by my pillow.
I ALWAYS drank and ate at the same time. I could not eat without drinking at the same time. That is a challenge for me as well. But, I am getting through it. So far so good. I am very proud of myself.

I can't stand really sweet drinks anymore. All I want to drink is water, but there's no protein in there. All of the Isopure drinks are too sweet for me. Blahhh. Even the crystal lights are too sweet. I am craving soda and seltzer water. I love seltzer water.

Former guzzler, here...especially after last night.

Absent-mindedly picked up my bottle of water w/ Raspberry Lemonade Crystal Light and instead of sipping as I have been since I had my surgery last WED, I took two large gulps like I would have a week ago....

Mistake...BIG, BIG mistake.

Eventually vomited the water plus, from what I could tell, my evening meal...

It turns out that I made a couple other mistakes earlier in the day:

1. Taking 2 chewable Imodium for diarrhea instead of just one

2. Introducing semi-solid food (Egg Beaters [2 oz. for the protein] nuked so that it is like a scrambled egg) too early...should have stuck with a protein shake.

So, today I am committed to being a sipper...
