daily vitamin check in
Got yours in for the day? I've got everything in but my iron and C, which I will be taking in a couple hours.
I added a couple capsules of ginger to my supplement regimen. Ginger is supposed to have anti-inflammatory properties and I'm hoping it helps my back problems. You know, since my doc keeps telling me NSAIDS would help and I can't take those. Only from what I read, it can take up to eight weeks for it to start to work. I hope it does. But I am sure taking a lot of pills now!

I didn't take my calcium since I have been out most of the day and it needs to stay refrigerated. Do you know if I should take all three doses at once or just my last dose? It's Calcium Magnesium Citrate (liquid) and I take 2 teaspoons three times a day. My book says you can only take 500mg at a time so I divided it into three doses.
Yeah, your book is right. We can only absorb about 500 mg at a time. So there's no point taking more than one dose now because you wouldn't absorb it anyway. Your doses need to be at least two hours apart.
It's not really a big deal to miss a dose or two once in a while but you might wanna get some chewable calcium citrate (or pills you swallow) to carry with you on those days you won't be home much.

Have a multi, extra-D, and iron. Kelly, I have a question for you. I'm perimenopausal and having heavier flows, should I up my Iron and if so what would be a good dose. I'm not anemic or anything, just feel a little run down sometimes. I called my physician and am waiting for him to call back, but thought I would see what you thought.
Thanks,
