I have to ask,  did you really think Kenny would join this thread?  

I didn't really know.  I thought it would be polite to invite him, and I thought, since so many posters expressed the desire to consolidate posts related to all faiths in one daily thread, that seemed like the "right" thing to do.  "Right" may not be the best word there, but what I mean is, I feel like this forum belongs to all of us that use it and that the people that use it, especially those that use it often, should get to make some choices about how we do things here.  So, while I had initially planned to put myself in charge of a daily pagan post, I was willing to make it a daily spirituality post instead, and to say that whomever felt like starting it each day could do so.  It didn't have to be about me, it could be whatever would be most useful to the community here.  And I don't mean to make it sound like I was giving in or giving up something by changing my mind about how it should be done.  I think this is actually a much better idea than a daily pagan post that only I come up with.

I don't know why Kenny has chosen not to join this thread.  I have some ideas about why but those may just be based in my own assumptions and stereotypes, and I'm aware of that.  He's still welcome to join, of course, at any time.

Well if there 'needs' to be a daily faith post which I personally don't agree with, then a "spirituality" post is better than a "pagan" post.

What I like about it is that you are inviting ALL beliefs in one place which makes it easier to weed through these posts and focus on OBESITY HELP.


Yes, there are those (one at least) who don't "get this" and perhaps they never will. (You know what Dr. Phil says!)

Yes your god/faith/spirituality helps with your weight loss etc.. .Perhaps I pray to my cat and let it make all my decisions for me. Doesn't mean it's appropriate to make a daily thread about it.

I'll tell you why I believe Kenny won't come here. It's because his belief is "the truth the way and the life". There is no other option. How could he associate his Almighty beliefs with any other?
BLASPHEMY!!!!!! He chooses this site to peddle his beliefs like he said he's been doing on another site for , was it 4 years?!! I believe he thinks it's his duty to "spread the word". Who cares wtf you or anyone else thinks about spiritualty.

I don't believe the intention of his thread is to be about what is most useful to the obesity community.

I'm not sure that there "needs" to be a daily spirituality post.  However, it seems that a number of us find it helpful to us.  I don't think it's inappropriate to post it but I do think that if we had people posting a daily pagan post, a daily Christian post, a daily Jewish post, a daily Muslim post, a daily Buddhist post, a daily Hindu post, etc, the board would get pretty cluttered with stuff that was not entirely relevant to WLS.  Putting it all in one place does seem to make more sense to me.

Feel free to post prayers to your cat anytime you wish.  I know my cats are sure the boss of me!
