Over the weekend I went to Louisville Ky, my mom lives in Ky and she met me to have dinner with me
so why does this matter?

My mom is 60 years old and she had RNY surgery 8 years ago, she was very very sick in the beginning reason, she was not following the rules and not doing what the doctor has told her to do right down to taking her vitiams, she was even in the hospital for being dehydrated

As we sat at dinner, I was shocked, she was eating, eating and eating as she was eating she was drinking her water, next thing you know she was complaining of pain and she felt sick, she ate till she was sick......
 I ask her why she did this, she responded by saying, because it's there

I also learned that her long term(15yrs) boyfriend who is very over weight likes to go to buffets, so her support really isn't there around her.
 she has lost weight, in the last 8 years she has gained over 20lbs back which is not real high but if she stays on  this track she will continue to gain.  I love my mom but she really worries me
.
She has ask me to help her stay on track, it's hard because I am 5 hours away
I am going to help her sign up for this site because I feel it has done so much for me and my surgery isn't till April 11th 2012

I hope this will help her she sure does need it

I wanted to share this with everyone, because a lot of us are just beginning and it something to watch out for.....thank you all for reading

It is scary to think we can regain after going through all of this, but it can happen and it can happen easily. I am no way gonna go back, but one never knows. Definitely have ur mom join this site and maybe she will get excited and re-motivated. Do your best to stay on top of best you can - good luck.
