What are you eating/doing today? Sunday!
Enjoying the cool and a little rainy weekend. We slept in and went out to lunch and I had my nails done. I really like the shellac colors.
Breakfast: Click protein shake hot and mixed with milk and sugar free caramel
later:
sugar free toasted mashmallow latte
Lunch:
shared boneless wings and a couple of sweet potato fries
Dinner:
not sure right now...maybe a high protein, low carb pizza or a sausage and onion frittata
My husband leaves TDY for a week in Phoenix in the morning. I miss him already.
Have a good week.

I stayed up late reading a book borrowed from my nephew... I had to check what the hoopla is about with "The Hunger Games". I finished book one and was halfway through book 2 before the clock demanded I head to work.
B - 2 laughing cow cheese wedges
L - homemade chicken salad on a Flatout Foldit w/ tomato

I am out of quest bars and the ones I ordered (through the link on www.bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com ) wont' be here until Thursday. I am going camping Wednesday - Sunday . Now I have to find some halfway edible substitute.

Today, I woke up and decided to cook... you guessed it: Quiche!
It's heating up here in AZ, so we generally stop doing much baking this time of year and don't start up again until late September and so I decided to get creative and make six quiches...
Quiche #1 had mushrooms, leeks, sweet onions, garlic, cheese, chicken and spinach
Quiche #2: (hubby's request)... ham, swiss cheese, lots of sweet onion, a little bit of leek, and lots of garlic.
Quiche #3: A repeat of #2
Quiche #4: crumbled sausage, bell pepper, leek, a little bit of onion and garlic, spinach and a LOT of mushroom and cheese
Quiche #5: a lot of sausage, and twice as much bell pepper, another leek and some spinach plus cheese
Quiche #6: small shrimp, real crab meat, a LOT of spinach, a little bit of leek and cheese. (these last two are in the oven now..
I'm now relaxing after nearly six solid hours of quiche cooking. The seafood quiche will be an nteresting one. We'll freeze four of the quiches and thaw them later. They're probably twice as exxpensive as the ones I buy from Costco, but they are also much more yummy, and they go for 10 meals instead of 6.
In a bit I'm going to take the last two quiches out of the oven and then spend some time preparing more stuff for school.
My meals for the day
1. quiche for breakfast (this was store bought stuff)
2. Protein shake
3. protein shake
4. Newly baked quiche (yum)
5. protein shake
I'll probably have:
6. grapefruit
7. some turkey pasta (more turkey, not so much pasta)
8. snack before sleeping.
Oh and today we're turning on the air conditioning for the first time

March 9, 2011 - Coccygectomy!
I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
I miss grapefruit. It interferes with my medicine. It was when I was told I couldn't have it...you guessed it..I really wanted it! So I bought grapefruit soap and lotion from Williams/sonoma.
I used to make quiche all the time. I can't remember the last time I did. You got me craving that.
I will tell you one of the first times I met my mother in law she served me hot dog quiche. It was a very "special" kinda meal! I love that woman to death but these days we ask her to bring the deviled eggs and I cook everything else!

My pouch isn't working with me today.
Breakfast was an Atkins shake.
I tried to have a cup of greek yogurt for lunch, but I was hot and sweaty and could only get down 1/3 of it. Didn't even touch the cheese or banana I packed as well.
I ate an coconut protein bar on the drive home, just to keep my calories up.
Dinner...? I dunno. Probably a piece of a grilled cheese quesadilla with some protein-infused tomato soup.
