daily vitamin check in
Got yours in for the day?
I still need one dose of calcium and then my iron and C. I've had trouble getting my third dose of calcium the last few days because I usually use Upcal D in my protein shake for that but I haven't had a protein shake in a couple days because I am out of milk and I bought some soy milk and I used to like my shakes made with soy milk but I guess I got used to them made with raw milk and now they don't taste that good with the soy milk. But I am going to pick up milk tomorrow!

Answering a little late, but answering, because I just realized I'm doing a REALLY STUPID THING!! I have just taken my "swig" of hot tea......in order to take my iron pills. Yes, you heard the blonde idiot right.....taking my iron WITH a good hot cup of caffeine chock full of polyphenols. AND I just realized I've been doing it for about 2 1/2 weeks!! Hmmm.. wonder how my iron levels are doing??
DUH!!
DUH!!
Honestly, if you've only been doing that for a couple weeks, it probably hasn't hurt your iron levels, or at least not much. It kind of depends on how well we absorb iron, I think, which varies a lot from individual to individual. For someone that tends to run really low on iron, I would certainly recommend doing anything that might interfere even a little with iron absorption. For others, while that will decrease the absorption of iron, the difference might be pretty small.
