Aromatherapy/Essential oils w/CPAP
A few weeks ago I had asked if anyone had used oils in their cpap. I got a few responses (thank you!). Here is what I have learned: DO NOT put the oils IN your humidifier. It can damage the machine and the oils can cause respiratory issues. What you do instead is put a few drops of the essential oils on a cotton ball. Then put the cotton ball right in front of the air intake on the back of your machine. The aroma is light and very pleasant. I love it!!! I actually am sleeping alot better. You can research oils and see the medicinal properties of each scent to find out what might work best for you. There are mood lifters, cough/cold soothers, relaxers, etc. I got my oils from ebay - buy 3 get 1 free. Woo Hoo. I have eucalytpus lemon, rosemary, cedarwood, and lavendar. I am sure the oils will last a long time since you use just a few drops. Enjoy!!!
I don't have a CPAP but that sounds like a really cool idea. I have a nice lavender spray I spray my pillow with sometimes before going to bed.

I love essential oils...I probably have over 100. I use them in my baths, massage oils or in my lotion or hair.
For baths when I am sore from working out it is clary sage, juniper and lavendar mixed with epson salts. Clary sage is a mood lifter, juniper helps relieve soreness and lavendar relaxes.
For baths to feel feminine it is either jasmine or neroili.
For my hair I use a drop of vanilla or rosewood mixed in my hair product.
I could go on and on. The very best ones I have found are anada apothocary sold online but based out of boulder. They have the very best massage oil blends ever. Have a great night.
