Can we use them?
SHOULD we use them?
Do they help with Constipation problems?
If so, which ones can we use?

Thanks.

My surgeon put me on Miralax.  It is a cleanser and a stool softener.  I went app. 12 days with no bowel movement.   I took it 3 days in a row before my first one.  Since then, maybe 2x per week.  It really helps me!   Best wishes

Well, FWIW, my surgeon said NO when someone asked about it,  but as I had never done one before surgery (and therefore wasn't likely to consider one after surgery) I didn't bother to ask her why.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I use Benefiber.  I would avoid the colon cleansers that they sell at vitamin stores.  Some of them have ingredients that turn to a rubber like consistancy and might be unpleasant or damaging to your altered insides.
