What are you eating/doing today? Saturday!

I am going to TRY to actually stick to a plan today. My strategy is to just build more food into my day and see how that goes. I'll report back.

I was up all night AGAIN with the cough even though I took allergy meds. I honestly believe there is something about spring coming on so strong, so early (80 degrees in March ain't natural...a SUCCESSION of 80 degree days is a sign of the apocalypse I think!). I don't know. All I know is I miss sleep!

Anyhoo...here is my plan for today:

1. Some type of protein shake in a moment (may do a berry smoothie)
2. An "egg-chilada" later (filled with turkey bacon, veggies and cheese
3. Some Greek yogurt, sf apricot preserves and Fiber One (which I WILL procure today!)
4. I want to make pork chops, cheesy mashed cauliflower and salad for dinner
5. Either a chocolate pudding cup w/ whippage or an English toffee ice cream bar
6. A few lunch meat roll-ups if I end up staying up late and get the munchies

Today is an odd day, because I'll be driving for a good bit of it.

Before leaving work I had a Berry Quest Bar.

While waiting for my laundry to dry I had a McD's BE&C Biscuit and half the potato patty. I will say, this is totally out of the normal for me, as it's pretty dense and A LOT of calories. But, one, I need the grease to help get things moving every once and awhile. And two, because I'll be on the road until about 4pm, I prob won't each much for the next several hours, so my overall daily caloric intake will be about the same as normal.

Why will I be on the road? I'm driving home to PA because my mom is having her VSG on Monday! Hoping all goes well.

First off, I'm lactose intolerant so can no longer do milk, cheese.  Also hope your Foodie site has ways to fix chicken liver.  Will be checking it out later!!

Breakfast

chili    4 oz.
chicken liver   4 oz.
lots and lots of hot sauce    lol (love it)

Snack

chicken drumstick off bone   4 oz.

Lunch

chicken drumstick off bone    2 oz.
spinach                                       1 oz.
carrots                                          1 oz.

Snack

applesauce                               2 oz.



Dinner

chicken drumstick off the bone      2 oz.
carrots                                                  1 oz.
Lite applesauce                                   1 oz.

Catch the theme here?  I live alone and don't mind left-overs!!    LOL    .

Sorry...no chicken livers on BF. The only thing I ever use them for is for flavoring for gravy that is NOT WLS-friendly. :)

Hmm, what am I have today?  Besides a couple lattes and protein shakes, I'm not sure... except for ONE thing.

I'm making that quinoa and black bean recipe you recently posted on BF!  I've wanted it baaaad since I first saw it and finally today is the day...

Can't wait!  ;)

I heard back from a few people that they wished they'd halved the recipe (I didn't think it yielded that much but YMMV). Keep that in mind as you are making!

 Had half of the chocolate brownie quest bar I got last night for bf.

Going to have half a skillet crisp tilapia at lunch and half at dinner. One snack will be the rest of the protein bar. Other snack will be ham & cheese on cucumbers with light ranch.

Side dishes for l&d? What's a side dish lol.

Having such a great day. I went to the Soulard Farmer's Market (it's this ridiculous, huge Historic site--About 6 city blocks filled with fresh and local vendors--fruit, veggies, grains, meat, eggs, flowers, soaps and oils, handmade incense, clothing, rugs, livestock, live performers, snacks... you name it, they've got it. There's hawkers yelling out prices, and the colors and smells just swirl around all the bustling crowds, and it's....well, it's quite an experience. If you're ever in St. Louis, you should go.

I picked up a fresh pineapple, a couple minneolas, some potted basil plants, some fresh goats milk soap, a jar of NSA cherry jam, some beef femurs for my dog, and a few other things.

Breakfast was an Atkins shake while the kids munched on mini donuts that we got to watch being made right there in the stall.

Lunch will be Fage with vanilla syrup and ground flax.

Probably have a babybel cheese and a turkey rollup.

Dinner...? Maybe some chicken tenders. I don't know yet.

Breakfast- 1 egg w/ 1 piece turkey ham and 1/2 slice of red fat swiss

Snack- Fat Free Skinny Vanilla Latte w/ protein.  So proud of myself..I made it myself and it tastes like it's fromStarbucks!

Lunch- 2 slices of tukey deli meat w/ grilled summer squash

Dinner- dinner out w/ friends.  Peeked at the menu and I'll have the grilled chicken
