Bad idea? Should I peel it first?

I eat the skin.  Doesn't bother me.

Do you like the skin?  If you'd rather eat it with skin, I'd try a couple bites and see how it goes.  If you like them better peeled anyway, then peel it.

how funny, i just finished eating one and i had to peel it first, i tried the first bite without peeling it and it did not go down well...my suggestions is you try first to see which way its better..

There are only 4 foods I cannot eat since my surgery, but the skins from some (most) kinds of apples are one of those things.  It is hard to chew, but even when I chew it as best I can, I end up with intestinal cramping and gas.  So I definitely peel them.

I eat the skins. To me they are the best part of the apple. But I think everyone is different on how they tolerate them.

I eat them.  No issues.  Extra fiber - yum.
