Got yours in?  I still need one more dose of calcium and my iron and C.  I may go to bed early though in which case I might miss the calcium.

Silly question: I'm 4 weeks post op and calcium is making me sick. Any advice as to why? I've tried crushing my pills and I've tried a Nast liquid calcium and both make me feel like death. Anyone else ever experience this? Thanks :)

I don't know why.  Do the crushed pills taste bad?  Or is the texture upsetting your stomach?

Are you able to swallow pills?  Have you tried chewable calcium?  What about Upcal D?  It's a powder and it has no taste.  You can mix it in any drink.

I haven't tried swallowing pills yet. I'm a chicken. Lol. Crushing them and the taste isn't what bothers me its the very sick feeling I get after they are in my pouch. I get really dizzy and feel sick. I wouldn't think calcium would do that to me but then what do I know. Can you recommend a good chewable calcium. I'm willing to try anything as I don't want to mess my body up. Thanks!

Contact Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage (celebratevitamins.com and bariatricadvantage.com) and ask them for samples of their chewable calcium citrate.  Any calcium from either of those places would be fine.  Most stores don't carry chewable calcium citrate, they just have calcium carbonate, which we can't absorb.  I can't say which ones you'll think are tasty, although I will say most people really like Calcet creamy bites from Celebrate.

If you wanna try the Upcal D, I don't know of any place to get samples, but if you PM me your address I'll send you a packet.  It's just a little packet of powder and I usually put it in my protein shake and I'd never even know it was there.
