 Smart move!

At three months I was still a "3 shrimp and I'm full" type. Pissed me off to no end.

i'm a bit worried that i'm not like that.  the scale is moving great and i am making very good choices, but as of now i don't dump (although i haven't tried sweets, but fruit isn't an issue), and i can eat 3/4 of a cup of food without an issue.  It's totally what my NUT wants me to be at (1-1/14 of a cup) but still, i hear so many on here who don't do that until a year that i get worried.

I think we all adapt differently.

For what it's worth I HATED being that restricted. Not only for my food demons but because it took me a while to figure out how to eat so that I didn't stall every two seconds.

I guess the grass isn't really greener on the other side, is it?

Is there a subsitute for Sofrito if one cannot locate it in their area?

If you have any market that in any way caters to the Latino community, you'll likely find Sofrito (and I know you...you are brave enough to go INTO the store!).

If not, tomato paste and some minced garlic would do the trick but it's not the same thing. Literally, Sofrito is everything you love about home cooking assembled in a jar. It's worth finding!

you can make your own if you like and freeze it to keep on hand.  Sorfrito is just sort of a "base" for latin/carribean recipes.  You might find it in the grocery store in the latin/carribean/asian/"ethnic" asile of the grocery store.

Here's a basic recipe I found online.  I think i might make it and use that instead of store brought: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sofrito/

For some reason I always thought it was something that would have to simmer and cook for HOURS, but when I saw this recipe I was like "all I have to do is toss it in the food processor and freeze it?"  *insert forehead smack*

I figure that its cheaper to use this version and I can weak it to suit my tastes.
