God Bless Her, i wish her well...it's really very sad to read some of the comments from people on other websites...clearly some people have NO CLUE about how HARD this is...it's not as simple as "just put the fork down"...WOW...REALLY?? SMDH...

Hmmmm. I get your point, but if you look at an "opinion" as one of its definitions;    a personal view, attitude, or appraisal

We/anyone can have an "opinion" on someone else's choices.  Now...if I take my opinion about someone else and start being all judgemental about it, shame on me.

I DO have an opinion about her surgery. I think she SHOULD go right ahead and do whatever she wants to do. That's my opinion, and I stand by it! :D

I agree. We all have opinions and are entitled to them.
I also think she should do what's right for her.

Speaking as someone who is looking toward sugery as soon as I get a surgery date. I have to agree that it truly is not okay for people to judge her. I know I do not want to be judged for the weight I have gained during my life, nor for my decision to have surgery. I believe that support is more important that being judgemental.

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!

I don't judge her one bit. Obviously we all have struggled/do struggle with food here. I think it's great that she is still striving for good health. That's what it's all about...doing what you can to be healthy. Addiction is a crazy thing. I said to my husband (who called it the "easy way out", even though he is supportive of me having GB) that if you were an alcoholic or drug addict and could have surgery to help you get over your addiction, wouldn't you do it?

People who say mean things about surgery just don't get it and are lucky they haven't had to face the same struggle. Most of my coworkers are very supportive and some of the ones who are just a little overweight say they wish they could do it, too!
