I am having so much trouble finding a protein powder that i can tolerate much less like. Its frustrating. I have about 5 canisters in my cabinet with only 1 or 2 servings missing. I find them to be just horrible tasting and pretty expensive. I know i need to keep looking, and i will. I really need to find something that makes this easier! Thanks for sharing your point of view.

I have hit that dreaded stall just 15 weeks out and only 40 lbs down - i know that the protein shakes will help and i am determined to find one.
Be well, and always - take care of you!

Order a BUNCH of samples from vitalady.com.  I don't know how many I tried before I found one I liked.  Probably more than a dozen.

Check out the recipes on bariatricfoodie.com, too.  How you make them makes a big difference.  None of my favorites are that tasty to me if I just mix them with water and shake.  Most of the them I like made with milk and then with other stuff added.  Some taste significantly better to me when made in the blender with ice then just shaken with milk.

I used to have a protein shake every morning for breakfast, but I started getting kind of carried away with the "additives" and they ended up higher calorie than a full (post -op "full") breakfast.
I still have 2 mornings a week when I work out with the PT, if I have a 5k, or if I am in a rush.
I think having a "drink" for breakfast is one argument my Gorilla (I loved that reference lol ) uses for wanting to eat more at night.

And I'm right there with you, Nik. I've actually gone back to 3 shakes (single scoop, 4 oz skim milk, assorted crystal light and/or SF syrups and/or SF pudding mix), 2 meals (one 0% fage greek yogurt) per day, and find myself less hungry and less grumpy. I'm still getting in 9-15 oz of crunchy fresh raw veggies per day, and fresh fruits as well.

My body loves it that way!

Agree with you on so many points.
Additionally - some of us need more proteins. I need 120-150 gr a day.  If I do not - my blood level drops to low normal and I can feel a difference. Some days - I may be able to get that on food. Most days - food alone - even eating 5-7 times a day may give me 70-90 gr.  After all I do want to have some veggies, and some carbs, and fats.

I agree as well. I dont have AS MANY shakes as I like, cause I like to make mine with ice in the blender. That keeps me full pretty long.

Between starting up the shakes again and my new Quest bar addiction, Ive been able to up my daily protein intake to over 100g a day. Oh, and the PB2 and Greek Yogurt...

Now, if I could just get the F#$%ing scale to move I'd be SET!

I like shakes because well they are YUMMY! and a big part of me making my daily totals, but YUMMY is a good reason.
