Breakfast was 16 oz of plain milk.  I know real exciting.
Snack greek yogurt
Lunch turkey chili with some cheese
Snack greek yogurt
Dinner grilled chicken legs.  I usually don't eat the legs, but they kids weren't and they actually tasted really good.

Yeah for 85 degrees in Wisconsin in March!  I love to grill.

So much for my home made pizza plan. I ended up having chili n brown rice with cole slaw. It was good, and filling but it wasn't pizza. Oh well, there's some hot coco and a late night protein bar later....

I barbecued! I bought a new patio set today, and I broke it in by inviting my family over for dinner and dining al fresco. Got a gorgeous evening for it.

I grilled sundried tomato chicken sausages and lean homemade burgers, made a lentil and green pea salad (with nonfat feta, red onion and balsamic vinaigrette), put out a bowl of jumbo king strawberries and fresh chopped pineapple, and tossed some asparagus in olive oil and herbs to grill as well.

Oh my goodness, what a picnic. I had a little of everything, and it was DELICIOUS.

So jealous about the strawberries. They are my other exception to my fruit indifference.

And they were fiiiiiiiine. It's strawberry season, and they are in rare form. Mmm.

I have to really watch myself today--kinda noshing on the fruit too much. It's been strawberries, pineapple, and crispy juicy green grapes all day. All those sugars add up.

Had to go into town to Walmart after work so:
Dinner was a small Wendy's chili with cheese and 5 chicken nuggets- I know - yaay chili, boo nuggets! But I am still full hours later!

Lunch was 2 grilled chicken tenders that I sprinkled with taco seasoning after grilling. I topped them with salsa and when I heated them for lunch I topped them with a slice of pepperjack cheese. Also had a very small salad with 1/4 cup taco meat.It was the best lunch I've had in a long time.

Breakfast was protein coffee, and I had a cheese stick for a snack.

I ended up with 1249 calories for the day- 1 calorie under my goal. Yay me- I've had to many days of going over by 200 or more. Using My Daily Plate has really been an eye opener on what I am actually taking in for fat, carbs, protein, sodium, fiber, etc. Most of the numbers have been way off what my "running estimate" I kept in my head each day. I thought after all my years of dieting and reading calorie/carb/fat labels, I knew what I was doing and it wasn't necessary to actually journal what I was eating. I really thought as long as I got in my water and protein I was good to go. WRONG- no wonder I could never lose that last 7 lbs. And I still might not, but I will be eating healthier.

Sorry, I didn't mean to write a book- I tend to get diarrhea of the mouth in some posts, LOL!!
