It was quite some time ago, but yes.  I think it was the third time I was hospitalized for depression, I pretty much insisted on a bunch of blood work, a CT scan and an EEG.  All was normal at that time.

Hey Kelly. I didn't read through all the responses...I had a lot of stress in my life and it worsened my depression. I thought this crap would never go away. I have been on every imaginable drug for it. It seems I read somewhere that it is not normal to have recurring bouts of depression, that could be indicative of bipolar...turns out I am schizoaffective bipolar type and it was explained to me that means recurring bouts of depression...not really manic. I thought I just kept getting depressed when things got a little too much to bear. I of course am not a professional and I'm posting in the hopes of being helpful. Here is what I take that has finally alleviated my chronic depression. Celexa 40mg, Zyprexa 5 mg, wellbutrin 150 mg. I was first advised to take the zyprexa only as needed for hallucinations. I took it every day by accident and this is such a big difference. Also having the surgery has given me new hope and something to look forward to. Do you exercise?? It does help to boost your mood. My therapist has been harping on me about it. Anyway, hang in there and keep your chin up.
