I have been craving one of my favorite pre op dinners for weeks now, fettuccine alfredo! So i decided I was going to mess around make make a healthy Alfredo sauce to put over some grilled chicken, and it was delicious and totally took care of my pasta craving, without the pasta! Amazing! So here is how I made my "alfredo sauce"
-1 Light Swiss Laughing Cow wedge
-1 T cream cheese
-1 T fat free half and half
-1 tsp butter substitute (I use land o lake light canola butter)
-2 tsp reduced fat Parmesan cheese (I just used the kind in the shaker bottle)
-garlic powder to taste

I mashed all this up into a cottage cheese like consistency, then put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then just stir and pour over some grilled chicken breast. I only used about 1/2 of the "sauce" I made on 2.5 oz of chicken so now I have dinner for tomorrow too :) gotta love that. The only thing is the sauce was a little on the thick side, so I think I will either use more 1/2 and 1/2 next time or maybe just use milk instead. Any who and easy delicious dinner, that tastes sinful but is so good, and came in at just 120 calories!!! (Remember I only used 1/2 the sauce).

I also discovered a new favorite breakfast this morning that tasted just like cocoa puffs, but without the crunch! It is a little higher in carbs than I usually go for with 15 g, but it also has 17 g protein so I am ok with it. It is:
-1/4 cup fat free ricotta
-1/4 box sf ff chocolate pudding mix
-1/3 scoop of chocolate protein powder
-1-2 T of milk or 1/2 and 1/2 depending on the consistency you want

I have discovered that I still love  playing with my food!!!

I had a good lunch, so I will probably make that again. I am a very exciting person.
I ordered pizza for my team meeting at work. I wanted some (NEEDED some, HAD TO EAT SOME).... but I didn't. I finished my water and then when I got back to my desk had a quest bar. I could have had pizza, I've had it before, but I wasn't going to give in to that screaming "need' in my head.

B - strawberry protein before gym
L - panfried (no bread / crust) chicken in olive oil w/ provolone cheese, sweet pepper and asparagus - drizzled with lemon juice

S - quest
D - probably going to home and make more chicken!

I attempted to have my fave salad with chili on it (from Wendy's) as I have an
insane work week and can't face coming home late to cook dinner, but for
2 days I've had a bug and I have been having bouts of nausea off and on.
I got in 4 bites of salad and had to spit out the last bite.  So, I am just
getting some liquids down and weathering the storm. I seem to have
nausea in the morning and evening the last 2 days but I'm better in
the afternoon. Weird. I had a protein drink for breakfast, spaghetti
(mostly meat sauce) for lunch, Greek yogurt for afternoon snack
and water for dinner. I may see if I can get down another protein
drink this evening, but I'm feeling waves of nausea just thinking
about it.  I had horrible gas pains yesterday (didn't eat anything
different) so I'm sure it's a bug. Things taste off and generally
weird too...so I'll be glad when this thing just runs its course.
I'm looking forward to more of my cook-all-day spaghetti meat
sauce for lunch tomorrow....we'll see how it goes!

I ate too much for dinner but I wasn't too hungry during the day.

Breakast: Shake 30 grams protein
Snack:  2/3 of a string cheese and a couple nuts
Lunch salad with turkey, almonds and apples with 1/4 of the container of dressing
Dinner sloppy joe meat, steamed broccoli and carrots,
Dessert apple slices, a few bites of pirates booty and sunflower seeds.

I think I'm hungry now that I'm finally getting over the flu.
