What's for dinner - Tuesday!
...it's not really that exciting, is it?
This evening I am going to straighten up the old homestead. The house will be shown to an investor who my realtor said is "seriously interested." There may be hope for an exodus from this house yet!
Besides that I am...figuring out what's for dinner, for one thing. I have no worldly clue. I want something with tomato sauce. That narrows it down, right?
Here's what I've had today:
1. Three egg whites + red/orange bell peppers and onions + spicy salsa
2. A chocolate PB protein shake
3. A Jimmy John's Beach Club Unwich (OMG YUM!)
I did out my whole plan on my food journal and it was a whopping 893 calories even when I put in my proposed tilapia dinner AND Greek yogurt for later. At the same time as I know the body needs more calories, saying *I* need more calories can turn into a dangerous thing. So let us just say that I may add something else to that to get to about 1200.
Or I may not. I don't know. What baffles me is that my intake usually trends around 1200 or so and I weigh 200 lbs. That boggles my frickin mind. Somewhere someone is laughing at me over this crap. Grrr!

Hey Nik - I'm assuming you meant 893 calories, not 8893 calories....otherwise we'd have a BIG problem.
My eats today:
B: Scrambled egg whites with cheese, 1 piece of seriously toasted toast
S: Cheese Stick
L: Pure Protein Bar - Chocolate Peanut Caramel
D: Talapia and some 'slaw...mmmm
I'll probably end up having an apple with 1 tbl REAL PB for dessert.

So far:
1/2 a Quest bar for breakfast
protein shake for snack
ham and low-fat swiss cheese for lunch
I will have another protein shake for afternoon snack (I know, I am relying heavily on the protein shakes, but it's the only way I can get my protein at work because I am on the phone all the time).
Dinner will be peanut chicken. I don't really have a recipe. Tonight I am going to pick up some PB2 on my way home and play with that. See what happens.

It's my first full day on purees... for dinner I'm having some ricotta cheese with sauce and a sprinkle of mozz cheese. YAY!
I admire you folk who have to do liquids. My surgeon had me on purees straight out the gate.

Ooh, tomato sauce. You'd like my dinner then. I decided to save the chicken sausages for tomorrow (gonna BBQ 'em!) and instead, tonight I'm making turkey meatballs in a three cheese pomodoro sauce. Gonna pair it with green peas. Mmm!

We have an insanely busy week this week..I really need to learn more how to cook more crockpot dinners..

D: I've got some boneless skinless chicken breast in the crockpot with rotel and some tomato paste and taco seasons..the idea is to shred the chicken after its done..I'm going to have mine with some black beans, cheese, mexicorn and sour cream. Chicken tacos for the rest of the family..or whatever they want to do with it. We'll see how it all works out.
