I did a poll a few weeks ago on foods that perplex people (how they are prepared, what to make with it, etc.) and quinoa came up frequently.

So on Bariatric Foodie today we begin at the beginning! How to cook quinoa. On Wednesday I will post my recipe for a completely vegetarian yet completely yummy meal (and if you don't believe me, consider this: even the divas liked it!) recipe on Wednesday.

But first, get up to speed on how to cook this super food!

thank you so much Nik...i have had this in my fridge for along time and just not really know what to do with it...once cooked, how long will it last in the fridge in a bowl with a lid? does it freeze when made into a receipe? some one had suggested soaking the quinoa before cooking it..is this necessary? and if you do soak it, do you store it in fridge until your ready to cook it for how long?
again thanks again for the help with this
