I highly suggest keeping it simple like the date and type of surgery you had.

Many people put so much that they may cause more problems than its worth.

For instance, I see a lot of people say "no sugars". Well sugars are not going to KILL you and in fact, if you do develop hypoglycemia as so many of us post rny ers do, it may actually save your life.

My MIL had one many years ago that opened on the information was on a piece of paper that folded into it.  I was thinking that's what I need, as I also have ostioarthritus, COPD, diabetes and depression.  My Dr has recommended that I get one.
