Update on my neighbor's cat
Thanks to those that offered suggestions or help yesterday. It just so happens that this morning, I saw my neighbor home next door so I went over to talk to her. Her husband is out of the hospital and is in a nursing home, where he is expected to be for several months. She is going to be moving back in next door, so she will be home to take care of her kitty. She said he was following her all around everywhere this morning. He missed her a lot.

Oh Wonderful! I just posted here this morning and I just saw the update! I am so relieved. Jane
Hi Kelly,
I am so glad it worked out for Kitty. I too am a cat lover too with 5 of my own. Cats are independant but can also be very loyal. When I went in for my RNY in Oct I was only in hospital for two nights but when I came home the cats all wanted to be with me all the time. I had to cover my belly area with a pillow as they wanted to walk and sit on top of me when I was sleeping. Ouch on the incisions!
Glad that Kitty is now happy.

I have frequently said it would not be difficult for me to become one of those cat hoarder people. I think the only reason I'm not is because I recognize my limitations and I don't want more cats than I can really care for properly. It would break my heart if I had cats and couldn't afford medical treatment and stuff for them. So instead of taking in more myself, I find them good homes when necessary. I've been able to find good homes for some pretty hard-to-place cats, too.
