What have you tried to battle the dreaded constipation?     I was doing fine until about 2 or 3 weeks ago and now I feel constipated almost daily.   I've started to add 2 TBL of MOM a day as well as buying colace yesterday and psyllium  husk today to add that to the regime.   Is there a tried and true remedy that will keep me regular daily?

Something that has worked wonders for me is "Smooth Tea" I have a cup at
bedtime.  Hope this helps.

I know some say no coffee, but if it works. Another thing is raisin bran but that's probably not the healthiest way to do it. I don't know if it's the raisins or the bran. i would try to get some insoluble fiber and up my fluid intake. Hope it comes out in the end lol.

for me is enough fiber and Mag oxide before bed. Every night.
But even with that - if I don't get BM in the morning - evening I give myself water enema.  But I do have a condition that if I get too constipated - I get severe migraine headaches...
I do hate the enemas (plain, warm  filter or distilled water enema to start the Moving " process)

I am almost 4 years post op - I need fa****er, magnesium and fiber... in that order.
Adding fiber when you constipate d- may add issues to the problem - like adding sand to clogged pipes... If they are not moving- they may get stuck even more... So please be careful.
psylium is nice - but it gives me way too much gas... not only smelly - but also painful.
I prefer Flax meal -it adds fiber and good fat - allow the stuff to slide out...lol...

Benefiber. I use two scoops in my 20 ox water bottle, and I drink 3 of them a day.

Stool softener at night (2 of them) and Miralax in my protein shake in the morning. All better. Now I'm down to just the miralax.

I read somewhere that someone recommended a good probiotic to keep you regular as well. I'm going to switch this weekend and see if that still works. I know I don't get anywhere near the fiber I need without the miralax right now, so I'm not sure it'll work

MoM wild cherry flavor and a cup of decaf coffee.  Works for me!

It's weird for me because they said I would be constipated or only go once every couple of days...Of all the problems I am having, this is definitely not one of them. I barely eat and still go like everyday. I am more regular now than I was before my surgery. I am always super gassy in my tummy too though.
