What's for dinner? How was your day? Tuesday!

I love work days. My eating is so sane. Yay, me!

Tonight I have Girl Scouts with the divas (ugh) then home for dinner and will probably end my evening curled up with my latest read. I’m old fashioned y’all…I read actual BOOKS! (Not Nooks or Kindles…BOOKS!)

Dinner will be my beloved Adobo chicken (for those unfamiliar it is chicken marinated in soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic and a few other spices then slow simmered. The broth, in my opinion, is a less spicy version of hot and sour soup that you’d get at a Chinese place). I’m going to have it over cauliflower rice.

Here’s what else I’ve had today:

1.      Slice of 9-grain bread with PB

2.      Taco casserole and grapes

3.      ½ Honeycrisp apple + mozzarella stick

I need some veggies in my life! I have some sugar snap peas and I can snack on those in some high-protein ranch dip later on in the evening if the mood hits me.

I’ve been in the mood for a few days to make a protein cheesecake. This desire only increased when I had actual cheesecake so…I may be doing that this evening as well.

I had the gym this morning and support group tonight.... 9 1/2 hour work shift. I called and made an appt with my primary doc for Thursday to get the dizziness checked out.

B - protein w/ 1/2 banana
L - hamburger on 1 slice P28 bread w/ provolone, tomato, onion, mustard

D - no idea, didn't bring anything so I might stop at Wendy's or Taco Bell on the way back to work from support group. If I have time maybe I'll swing by the house and grab something

S - turkey pepperoni and laughing cow cheese
cottage cheese / pineapple / Fiber one

I'm on a one-woman crusade to keep actual books from becoming obsolete. I refuse to go digital.

Today was good. Spent the morning cleaning. Got the whole house done, except for my bedroom and bathroom. Visited with a friend, got my truffles made, got some projects done. Overall, pretty productive.

Dinner for me will be the protein from a Lean Cuisine, followed by some greek yogurt after an hour or so. And a protein shake for dessert.

Today SUCKED - I hate my job but I am starting school in the fall and don't want to take on two new challenges at once. I am working in a related field so this is good experience for the resume... there... that's all of my excuses for that.

Then I fell down the steps on my way to work. Bruised my tailbone and tweaked my back and neck.

That's enough whining for me...

I had:

B - Premier Protein bar
L - Large skinny peppermint hot chocolate
S - Skinny Cow heavenly crisp
D - Progresso light beef soup and tossed salad
S - ? (maybe popcorn or Fullbites)

Our dog is having intestinal issues from eating some potpourri so we cleaned up several very loose piles on our wood floors when we got home.  He is having soaked oats and yogurt for dinner until his intestines are back to normal

For today:

Quest cinnamon bun protein bar

sugar free caramel latte

turkey meatloaf, mashed cauliflower, brocilli and green beens

Click protein shake

Dinner will probably be a taco salad since i have some very lean ground beef to use up

Have a great evening.

Busy but productive day! Wonderful weather after tornado threats last night. I am finally over the nasty infection followed by a nastier bug! Worked 4 hours this morning at school, took grandaughter to MSU peds neurology for increasing migraines. (she is 8) Then stopped by the Lansing literacy council and picked up 500 book donations for our literacy night. Took grandaughter to dance classes, picked up a few groceries. Now waiting for supper. Time flies! Karen

(This is not a typical day. )   Looking it over, I don't have enough protein, so I shall drink an Atkins Cafe Caramel Shake before going to bed.   This will bring my protein level up to 69.  But my calorie level is my highest ever at 698.  I believe that's too many calories this early on.
Walked only 20 mins.  Was huffing and puffing.  underarm exercises and toe touches.

I'm a book lover too...but if they make a water proof nook, I'd prolly get one for bath time

Chicken chili for dinner. Yum, one meal I never struggle with.
