Just wondering how long it took everyone to pass gas and or have a BM after their surgery? I feel gas in there and have been burping but so far have not been passing any and am getting a little worried something is wrong! Is this normal for a one day post op? Thanks!!

Oh geez! It took me 5 days to fart and man let me tell you how amazing that was! About 6-7 days before I had a bowel movement.

Oh yeah, when you think it's gonna be a fart... just beware.  You might wanna go in the bathroom just in case.

I don't remember if I was passing gas in the hospital or not.  I was on morphine.  I remember very little.

I do recall having the worst diarrhea ever the day after I came home.  So I guess day three?  A couple times I did not quite make it to the bathroom in time.  Talk about unpleasant.

It probable took my 3 days after coming home to pass gas. I did burp alot. Then another 3 to have a bm. I still only have a bm every 3 or 4 days. Dont have alot of gas either.
