What's for dinner? How was your day????
I had a restful day. I also finally went and got my damn labs done. That was a relief. Then I stopped past the hospital pharmacy to pick up some vitamins. I like the chewables and I've been out for some time. They were EXPENSIVE!!! I got 90-day supplies of my multi and my iron, 30 of my calcium. Good Lord...it was a lot of money! I didn't do medical FSA this year so I will be saving that receipt!.
Dinner...no idea. I have lots of stuff to pick from though: Leftover taco casserole, adobo chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt. I'll pick one. I'm about to get back into the book I've been reading "Gathering of Waters" by Bernice McFadden.
Here's what I had today:
1. Adobo chicken
2. Taco casserole
3. A few bites of la grande divas Subway sub and a few corn chips
ETA: I had some Greek yogurt but...I'm gonna 'fess up. My stomach has not been right since that damn cheesecake yesterday! Every action has consequences and that is mine. I accept that. But now my system is super loud digesting EVERYTHING and I have this perpetual sour taste in my mouth. THIS is why I don't cave to sugar that often (well that and I'm a saltty girl...). Ugh!

It rained HARD all day today, so I didn't do much at all. Had hoped to go to karate this evening, but more dizzy spells and a busy day at work will probably cancel that out.
I didn't have breakfast, haven't had $ to buy multivitamins so I am behind the 8 ball already.
L- grilled steak, blackeyed peas (from last year's garden ), whole kernel corn
S - Quest Peanut Butter Supreme
D - leftovers from lunch
S - either cottage cheese / pineapple/Fiber One or another Quest Bar..... or both *shrug* I have 7 hours left for my work shift.

Dinner will be a piece of leftover blackened chicken and lemon-braised broccoli.
Day was good. Got a baby gate today to try to contain my Littlest Monster and her Path of Destruction. Bought a chore chart for my oldest to try and re-assert some order into this chaotic fray we call a household. So with a little luck and a lot of patience, maybe this week will be a little less overwhelming.
I go tonight in an hour to finalize the paperwork for my job at the Y. Kinda excited about that.

Idk what is for dinner yet. Perhaps some chili. I have been totally craving kidney beans this week. I think it might had to do with wanting chili cheese fries. ;) I thought about you the other day when I drove past Jack n the box and saw that they had chili cheese fries made out of curly fries! I just started laughing when I saw the big sign!
Today is my baby boys 5th birthday and yesterday was "my" divas 3rd birthday. It's so funny b/c before I woulda killed for a piece of cake and now it is yucky to me (which is a very good thing. lol)

I'm about to head to super sweaty power kick my ass yoga and my hubby headed out to visit his aunt in the hospital (amazingly odd story - please pray) an hour away. I don't know what dinner will be, but probably nothing exciting.
FWIW the Hillshire's Farm grilled essentials chicken breast I had earlier wasn't bad. But it was what it sounded like - a processed piece of salty reformed chicken meat. However, I'd keep them around for lunches, it worked well. I can eat one 3 oz breast and be full. It's not too big, very portable, heats in a minute and I don't need to add anything else to it and I'm good. Perhaps another flavor is less salty - I think it was more garlic salty than straight up salty.
Anyway, probably cucumbers, tomatoes and hummus for dinner. Not sure. Not hungry and probably won't be.
I'll have a strawberry nectar protein on the way home from my workout.

I know what that's like, mah sista.
Keep on keepin' on.

Today I spent nearly 90 minutes in a metal tube getting my brain and neck checked over. That's enough to take a headache and make it worse. The flip side is that getting an MRI at 165 pounds is immensely different from getting an MRI at 350 pounds.
Then hubby and I went to Costco to find my snack bars because I ran out, and of course they had run out too. :( I did see some nice red-grapefruit fruit cups, read the label and decided that they were surprisingly low in carbs. Only after I got home did I realize that the "single serving" cups that aren't closeable are two servings. Double a reasonable number of carbs instantly. Dratted things.
Oh and Costco stopped carrying the quiche I used to buy by the truckloads. On the other hand, they had two new types of quiche that sound much tastier. We bought them, and I'll fix them later.
Today's eats so far:
1 serving of homemade crustless quiche for breakfast
endless protein shakes as usual
1 junior whopper with cheese and bacon but only one bun (I didn't want to have a crash while in the MRI tube, and fat/protein are the best combo to tide me over for 90 minutes of whirring machine)
We just got back from Costco and I had 2 servigns of red grapefruit in a single-serving cup. Later on today I'll cook up the costco quiche and have one of the flavors. Not sure if it will be swiss cheese and ham, or avocado and spinach. I might have one more serving of quiche before bed, or if not that, then a snack-sized peanut butter. I have to use food at bedtime or my bedtime meds don't metabolize and their dosage is too high to take an extra if they don't work, I just suffer.
Oh and I'm on VACATION! Yay... hubby and I have the week off. One serious benefit from being school teachers teaching at the same school is that we always have the same work hours and vacation days.
