How long does cooked quinoa last in the fridge?

I usually only fix enough for two meals, but this time I used a packet that had some black beans and spices added in, so I made the whole packet, and now I am wondering how long I have to eat it all before it goes bad.

Also, how will I know when it is no longer safe to eat (does it mold, does it start to smell funny, etc.)?

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I'm not sure, but why not freeze the unused amount in meal sized portions? I would think it would be good for at least 3 months frozen.

Good idea.  I have a Food Saver vacuum sealer.  I didn't know if you could freeze it or not.

There aren't that many foods you can't freeze, especially with a vacuum sealer.

Actually I'm trying to think of sollid foods you can't freeze and I can't come up with any. Help me out! I'm sure there are some...

Bacon!  It is nasty after it has been frozen.

Anything with any significant amount of sour cream (it gets watery when thawed).

Anything with a lot of basil in it. It gets bitter.

Sauces that have wheat flour in them tend to separate when thawed.  Sometimes you can re-combine and rethicken them, but sometimes not.

It's been 3 days... Guess I better get it in the freezer!  Thanks.

It freezes up great. I make pots of everything as after raising a house full
of kids, I am completely unable to cook small amounts.  While I find that
quinoa doesn't sit well with me, I froze up some with beans, zucchini,
marinara and cheese in a casserole for the family and it microwaves
up just like it came out of the oven. I don't keep much cooked up food
in the fridge for more than a day before I freeze it in meal-sized
containers.  My freezer is always stocked with what I think of as
home-made TV dinners.  I would think quinoa would last the same in
the fridge as cooked rice or anything else.
