Ok, I admit. I got into the damn infomercial. I've actually been interested in this program for quite some time and I think I'm in a good place to do it if I choose to. I'm actually pretty physically fit and now I want to LOOK physically fit!

So P90X users. Tell me about your experiences with the program. What do you like? What don't you like? Do you adapt the nutrition component to your post-op eating life? What results have you seen in the time that you've been doing it?

I wanna hear it all! It'll be a few months before I can make the investment if I choose to, so I want to find out what I'm in for!

Two words:  Buy it!

I have been a P90X devotee for over 2 years now.  I credit it with the muscle definition and overall physical strength and stamina I have today.  I worked out for a year before I got it on nautilus weight machines and a treadmill and only saw the big changes after I started P90X.

Pros
Great variety in the workouts.  You do not get bored.
Challenging-you will get such a sense of accomplishment from the things you can do.
You don't need a bunch of equipment to do it-just a TV and DVD player, open floor space and some weights or resistance bands.  You should have a pull up bar, but there are alternatives to do them with the resistance bands.
You will be amazed at how strong your entire core gets from ab ripper X!

Cons
Not for the weak at heart!  It is very challenging, but you can over time work up to doing all the workouts....if you don't get discouraged.
Expensive
Yoga workout is too long!  It is 1.5 hours....I only do 45 minutes of it.

I loved the challenge of working toward being able to do the entire workouts.  I do not follow the nutrition plan-never even looked at it.  I also don't exlusively use P90X....I integrate it with other activities that I do-like yoga, running and hiking.  The only weight training I do is with P90X and I use the cardio workouts when I cannot get outdoors to run.  I really do believe the "muscle confusion" is what gets results.

I like it so much that I also bought P90X+ and now P90X2.

I got the less intense and expensive version, p90 off of amazon and really have enjoyed it! It's a great workout and not as intense as the regular version, which at this point with the shape I am in would probably die doing it lol! My goal is to be able to do p90x when I get to my goal weight and use it to really tone and shape up but I would say either version is a great choice!

Do you mean Power 90?

That was my very first DVD workout and it is a very good entry level set-it has level 1 and 2.

Still to this day I use the Ab Ripper 200 in my rotation...one of the best ab workouts I've ever used!

My fiance used it and dropped down 80 pounds by doing that and eating healthy. He gained the weight back but we are going to do it together when I am able to do it.

my hubby loves it... and my Brother in law loves it and has done the entire thing a few times through .. (he looks pretty fabulous too)..... I haven't been brave enough to try it yet.. I keep saying when I lose just a bit more weight......

I have only ever heard good things from people who have actually done it....
