What's for dinner - Friday!

This has been one of those days where if something actually went well I would probably faint.
- went to pick up copy of labs from surgeon; I'd called on Tuesday saying I was coming but they told me when I got there they'd already sent them to medical records so I had to go there to get the copy.
- went to packet pick up for tomorrow's 5k. It is HUGE and I am chickening out
- stopped at one feed store and bought $$ started plants; set the tray on my buggy and after I paid the whole thing tumped upside down on the floor, breaking some of the little plants
- went to another feed store for horse feed - sold out
- dog trainer cancelled
- nephew's baseball cancelled

BUT
I have eaten GREAT, had a couple of free hours for "dirt therapy" in the garden and tomorrow promises productivity too.

B - Click mocha, skim milk, lite whipped topping, SF Caramel
L - steamed tilapia, provolone, steamed cabbage and steamed broc/cauli/carrots
S - cottage cheese, strawberries, fiber one

D - will be lemon / cracked pepper salmon on 1/2 WW Flatout w/ tomatoes

Grumpy, crabby hubs is working tonight (dare I cheer??), so my night is my own!!!

I'm thinking I might just have some soup and later munch on a cheese crisp or two.  I'm totally unmotivated for anything but reading (downloaded a new book to my Kindle!) and watching the Red Wings hockey game tonight.

Might even have a glass of wine as I kick back, spouse-less....   *grins*

I am spouse less and child less for the first time since surgery...whooooooooooooooo!
No wine for me but I am going to eat a New York strip and watch DVR'd episodes of Parks and Recreation.

Sounds awesome!  The Wings won for me tonight... how'd your solitary evening turn out?

 Lol! Sounds good though.

I am still new so I am trying to figure out ways to get the proteins.  This is my second day on soft, no chew food:

B- 1/3 c grits
L- can puréed tuna (using ch. protein soup to liquidity)
(let's just say that took a while to finish off)
D - choc protein shake

Uck. Gotta think of something better tomorrow.

Today is my normal day off, but I worked half a day at home. blech!
So, I've not been paying attention to my eating, but I find that I actually
feel hungry and I don't think I should be.  I drank a protein drink. Then I
had a 45-cal slice of toasted bread with 1 TBSP pnut butter and half
a banana sliced on it ( I HAD to try it!).  Then about an hour ago I had
half a small corn tortilla with some ground taco meat and grated
cheese.  Maybe I should have eaten the whole thing because I'm
really, really hungry!  So....I think I'll have a whole soft taco for dinner
and 1/4 sliced avocado and either some Greek yogurt or another
protein drink later this evening.  I will probably be up late doing the
stuff I didn't get done all morning.

I feel like snacking tonight!  I'm sitting here sipping a decaf coffee trying to stay away from the pantry.

Here's what I've had today:
B - protein hot chocolate
S - 3/4 cup greek yogurt w/ cheesecake pudding powder, pumpkin & spices - YUMMY!!!
L - hibachi chicken & shrimp and veggies, 3 bites of fried rice (Japanese restaurant w/ coworkers)
S - half Quest bar
D - spaghetti pie and green beans
S - maybe almonds

And btw, I can put down food like a "normal" person most days!  I can very easily eat multiple slices of pizza from big, NY style pies.  And then be hungry again an hour later.  I really need to work to keep myself under control.
