What are you eating/doing today? Thursday!

If I missed the thread, my apologies! Didn’t see it on the first few pages.

Today is sunny in Baltimore and warm! Although I don’t have seasonal affective disorder, there are two marked points when my overall mood and energy shoot up:

1.     1.  When the sun is out when I awaken.

2.      2. When the weather is warm.

What bad in life can happen in spring time???? I could get hit by a bus and still see the blessing in it in springtime. Or, as the French say, “Laissez-nous à célébrer le printemps!" (I totally “Google translated" that).

I’ve actually had a good bit already today. It’s been a hungry few days.

1.      A tablespoon of PB straight off the spoon (crack o’ dawn)

2.      An over medium egg on a piece of 12 grain toast

3.      A chocolate Muscle Milk protein drink

4.      Lunch will be taco casserole and a chocolate pudding

5.      Learning from yesterday’s mistakes, I brought Greek yogurt w/ sf apricot preserves and an apple for snack

6.      I am making lemon pepper chicken, thinking of walking to get me some asparagus to go with. Divas will eat salad.

7.      Probably another Greek yogurt with Fiber One before bed

Can I just say I love where I am with eating? When I eat reasonably (and, the pre-breakfast notwithstanding this is a VERY reasonable day for me), I can eat enough where I feel like I am eating ENOUGH: not too much, not too little.

But then again this whole sentiment could be due to the approach…of the springtime!

I, too, learned my lesson from yesterday's grazing. I'm still out of the gym due to straining my back working with a medicine ball, most likely for the rest of the week.

Today's bucket includes:

B: Strawberry Banana shake w/Vi-Shape protein powder and SF Banana Cream pudding (this was to DI for!)
S: 1/2 cup raw sugar snap peas and an ounce of Basha hummus
L: 1/2 cup chicken salad and 1/2 cup cottage cheese, all mixed together (this is pretty good, acutally, but I'm weird)
S: Cup fresh fruit
OS: I have grapes on stand-by in the event of a munchie moment
D: Maybe turkey burger patty or another protein shake

Took all my vits.

Yep it's a beautiful day here in Charm City!

I made one of those do I eat this and dump decisions or let it pass choices.  I decided to go with the dump.  The boss had Georgetown cupcakes delivered so I had an espresso one.  OMG they are good.  I wouldn't stand in line for an hour for one but they are good.  I figure it's the only time I'll ever have one again.  So I am waiting for that to take me down.

PB-FF latte from home
B-Quaker weight control Banana nut bread oatmeal with a tsp of PB
S-Georgetown cupcake...forgive me for I know what I do and I did it anyway.
L-should have been 2 lunch meat roll ups, ham around a sargento low fat colby stick .  Probably won't be feeling that for a bit.  Or today for that matter.

D-if I feel it, it will probably end up being the lunch listing above.

Busy busy busy day here today! My daughters school is holding their annual jog a thon fundraiser..I LOVE this fundraiser..promotes keeps our kids healthy and they don't have to sell rediculous items that the school will hardly see any profit from. If she runs 40 laps(she did 37 last year) she will raise right at 400 dollars for her school..and the school keeps 100%!!

After school they are having a carnival and talent show so I'll be putting in some volunteer time there..then rushing back home to make a casserole for bible study tonight!

B: Protein Hot Chocolate
L: Tilapia and some veggies
D: Chicken/Broccoli Casserole and a small salad

I'm wanting to squeeze in a snack somewhere of probably string cheese.

Have a wonderful day!

my kids school is trying a 'run' in May.  the other elementary school raised a TON of money.  Granted on that side of town they are more on the rich side, but we still hope to raise a good amount.

What I do when I'm reaching out to friends and family for donations for her is remind them that I don't ask them to buy the craptastic candy..gift wrap..and overpriced trinkets throughout the year(especially since the school doesn't even see 5 dollars from a 30 dollar order) and they are more than willing to donate what they can. Her school allows for a flat donation or a per lap donation. She got donations ranging from flat 10 - 50 dollars and a few for 2 dollars a lap. The economy is obviously not where it has been in the past but even if every student were to just get 100 in donations it would make a huge difference for the school.

If the weather's moving East, be prepared for some chilly rain. It was gorgeous here yesterday--70's and sunny. Today, it's cold and drizzly.

Pre-Breakfast: I got up and had a glass of low sodium V8.

Exercise: Went to the gym and did an hour of pretty high intensity deep water aerobics and resistance (new teacher today, love her!)

Brunch: Greek yogurt with DaVinci SF Vanilla syrup, fresh blueberries, and ground flax.

Cleaning the kitchen, doing dishes, and finishing laundry.

Lunch: ? Not sure yet. Will probably have a couple of those swedish meatballs I've been looking forward to.

Snack: Gonna try a frozen strawberry/peach spinach protein shake.

Dinner: Baked ricotta with marinara and baby spinach, with one or two leftover meatballs.

MD always catches the weirdest parts of the jet stream. Tomorrow is in the 50's then it goes back up to the 60's this weekend. It's supposed to rain, yes.
