OT: strange things you have wondered about your therapist
After the recent discussion of underwear, I received an email today from an ex-client, and something she mentioned (in context it was not nearly as odd a revelation as it sounds without the proper context!) started the engine in my little train of thought... so I am curious...
She mentioned that, when we were working together, she wondered what kind of clothing I wore to bed. It was apparently a stray thought one day and then for some reason she continued to wonder about it (but knew it wasn't appropriate to ask). When I read that, I remembered wondering what the living room and bedroom of a therapist I was seeing about 8 years ago looked like... what the furniture style was, the color/pattern/material of the bed linens, the type and color of carpet, etc. (Yet I never had the same thought about the therapist I saw after that (and saw for 7 years!).)
Anyway, I'm just curious... What kinds of odd things have other people wondered about their therapists?

I always wonder how my therapist disciplines her children when she loses her temper.
I also wonder quite often how long she had to practice to get a good poker face when her clients say really outrageous things and her first impulse is to burst out laughing or be completely horrified.

Lora,
You should know by now that I don't miss much. It actually took me longer to decide if I should post the reply than it did to think of it or type it.
Believe it or not at one point in my life I was a psychology major. Walked away from it with 1 year until graduation.
