Our very own Poet Kelly is and she says you can be too, if you want!

This week on Bariatric Foodie, she's sharing what she knows about vegetarianism after weight-loss surgery!

Check it out all this week, starting with today's post!

This is right on time Nik!

Last night the BF and I were talking about cutting down on the amount of meat we eat and while I'll never be a vegetarian 100% (I love me some rare steak) I know that eatting less meat is generally a healthier approach for a lot of reasons and I've been trying figuring out how to explore this while keeping WLS eatting in mind.

I've very excited about it and hope everyone checks it out.  I hope we can get a really good discussion going so feel free to leave any questions or comments on Bariatric Foodie and I'll make sure to respond as quick as I can.  I think even for those that have no plans to give up meat, you can get plenty of new ideas of things to eat for protein.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

My surgeon is very pro-vegetarian.  He advocates getting your protein from non-meat sources all of the time.  You can follow his public page on Facebook.  He posts meal ideas and links to his blog postings.
