Decaf coffee... To do or not to do?

The last week I haven't been able to drink my water. I just don't want it. I started drinking starbucks skinny lattes, but saw that they have more calories, so I stopped drinking those, plus it can get expensive. So, Ive been drinking decaf coffee. I add dairy free creamer (0 calories, 0 sugar), some hazelnut syrup (0 calories, 0 sugars), some splenda, and my benefiber. I can drink it all day, but I wonder if it's safe to do so, since technically its no****er, though it is liquid, right? What are your thoughts? Your experience? Any help with this is appreciated.

What do you think might be unsafe about it?  I don't see a problem.

I drink a lot of decaf every day.  I know that it is not completely caffiene free, but I don't seem to have any problems with it.  I do drink at least 32 oz. of plain water everyday too.  I think some people have acidy stomach issues with coffee.  I am on a low dose of Prilosec daily. I never have stomach upset...and I drink 5 or 6 cups of decaf daily.  Just my experience.

My surgeon suggests that the tannins in any dark drink, even decaffinated (coffee, tea, diet soda, etc.) can put you at an increased risk of ulcer.

That being said, I drink a decaf protein coffee every day :)

Coffee, even decaf caused me to have acid reflux.  But if it doesnt bother you, it would be much better to drink it and get all your fluids in than be unable to get enough fluids.

Okay, thanks. I haven't had any problems with it, and since it's decaf, I think it should be okay, but wanted to make sure it was safe, especially since it's all that I'm drinking right now. But, I will try to get more clear liquids in. Thanks again.

My nut told me that the 64oz includes all fluids (including decaf coffee). I love the general foods international coffees. The decaf/sugar free only has 30 calories in a serving. I use 1/2 cup of skim milk and add some water if I am making a big mug (which is only 43 calories and 6 carbs) and this also gives me 4 grams of protein.

I love my decaf coffe with a scoop of Nectar protein. There are 3 flavors that I love. Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Truffle, or Cappacino. Yum! The protein powder does not thicken the coffee.
