I just calculated my food for the day (I usually log it as I eat) and have had 1200 calories already today and haven't even had dinner yet. Thank god tomorrow is a new day. I will not be waiting until the end of the day to log my food ever again. Wow.. I feel like a total fat ass. LOL. Funny.. before surgery 1200-1500 would have been a good day. Now, it is just too much. I think this is the most calories I have consumed in a day since surgery. Ugh.

Don't worry, I think a lot of us have days like that. I usually feel like that the week before my period.

ditto... for me hormonal pouch = a supersized pouch. I make sure my calories are good sources (protein, veggies, some fruit and limited starch), from planned meals instead of snacks, and that I exercise even if I don't feel like it. Then it feels like a brand new post-op the first time I try to eat a meal after all of the 'excitement' is over. Good times

In an addition of "First", an inexpensive women's magazine, I read that you burn 300 extra calories daily during the week before your period . . .

I believe this, it is the time in which I am really hungry and feel as if I could eat much more than I do normally.  Many times I have to up my fat slightly in order to feel full and satisfiedduring that week.

Take heart, once I ate 1800 calories in a day, it was not pretty!
